Gtf, we used to chase you off the boards and through the Finch Lane entrance every day. Yep i've lived up here for a while donga, what school did you go?
The Ally's seniors mate, it was crazy all that gang fighting back then, but you Dovey/Pilchy lads never ever took the Eagle.
You never took the Bow, but God knows who'd want to. The eagle is the only pub I've ever been to in my life where when i was buying a round some spanner-faced hardcase just glared at me and said "An I'll avva pint of Greenhalls".... And i was that scared I bought him it, quickly drunk up and left with my mates (two of whom were coppers, but they said they were just as scared).
The Bow is now a Chinese restaurant and the Eagle got demolished and they built a McDonalds on its sacred ground. So you loved our local drinking establishment back in the day.
Chriist, the Blubell though... But I lived near the Yew Tree. The Hughes twin nailed some guy's hands to the bar one night. I used to go the Greyhound to stear clear of it, of the NALGO on Queen's Drive. We used to go to west Derby village as it was 'nice' there, but my sister lives there now and last Christmas someone was shot in Barry's on Christmas day night. Outside the city centre, i don't know where I'd go now. used to like Woolton village too. Lived in Bromborough for seven years, but the pubs were **** there.
The Bluey got knocked down and they built a health centre on the ground were it stood(ironic)the Yew Tree demolished, the Nalgo's still there, West Derby is like Dodge City in the summer, i used to go for as bevvy to the High St in Wavertree or the Elephant in Woolton. Bromborough and Bromborough Rake are boring as **** mate.
Makes my watering holes seem like palaces, Brook House, Rose of Mossley and Childwall Fiveways plus a few who's name now escapes me in Aigburth Vale
