Race-winning Mercedes AMG driver Rosberg has compounded his team mate's misery by stating how positive the Pirelli tyres are for F1.

Going back to Ernie's original post and his comment that he is "not sure of [Schumacher's] exact motives," I wonder if his attack on Pirelli wasn't the first point in a long retirement speech. Schumacher has struggled with tyres ever since his return in 2010 and I suspect he is preparing the ground for a reasoned escape from what he, too, might consider "not F1"?

I've been away assisting the people of Cornwall make a living. Forgive me for not being able to read all the items- its all too much.
On this - Ernie's provocative item - I regret we need alternative tyre compounds to put doubt and wear judgement into the race at all.
Similarly KERS is yet another way to placate the casual viewing audience - its money into the sport and Bernie's wallet.

    Shame.

I think the next few races will decide that. He is clearly frustrated with results, but its been more bad luck than poor driving. If he can turn it around i wouldn't be shocked if he changes his tune.

It will be interesting for me to see how Schumacher adapts around this weakness over the course of the year. I would like to think he would get to grips with it and hopefully build on the foundations for a few solid results.

    It's practice, that's all.

The bit that I am so proud of with this thread is that, despite the contentious subject matter, we all, bar none managed to negotiate through the extreme and vehement differences of opinion without resorting to violence, no punches have been thrown, no injury inflicted.

Does this mean, we as human beings, well some of us anyway, have evolved to another level of tolerance on Not606 or will we inevitably regress into conflict and abuse over time.

I am quite sure having today contacted my Cornish relative's that your efforts to encourage the indigenous population to be self supporting will fall on deaf ear's, except for Ginster's who have already caught on.

Ernie, they need to work on controlling clouds and sunshine more. Based near Mullion we had breakfast each day, except the last, in sunshine.
Weather was shocking all over the country - we know that due to the county having television and newspapers. After driving to coves and NT gardens in every direction we somehow avoided the worst - but down at the Lizard lighthouse it was amazing. Blinding sun there and out to sea, but turn 180 degrees and it was the darkest black sky imaginable. Just ran back to the car before the heavens fell in cascades. Loved Helford on the river, Kynance and the walks round the various gardens. In one NT car-park there were 4 Lagondas .....lovely.
Ate a pasty, local fish and chips - but decided we would not pay the £7 for a crab sandwich (a cartel we noticed). At that rate they deserve to go bust.

Glad you had a great time, both Cornwall and Devon are stunning whatever the weather, used to live in N. Devon and used to venture out on the surrounding high cliffs during the storms, incredible, many a ship has been wrecked along that coast.

Regarding controlling the weather, I have witnessed reports of many vain attempts by the more adventurous locals up on Bodmin Moor performing acts that possibly had been intended to bring happiness, warmth and sunshine.

Regarding the acts on the Moor - was that to do with dogs, car-parks or ensuring the population grew?
I thought a lot of locals looked similar to one another. <laugh>

Blimey, Genji. I'm going to need about an hour to respond to that and tied up (not literally) most of the afternoon. :)

tyre management is relied on too heavily in my opinion, they need to get the balance right betwen needing to manage the tyres, but allowing drivers to push hard over the course of about 10-15 laps at least.

the bridgestone tyres may have been too good, i think that maybe a small step down from those in 2010 would be ideal

I don't like posting my card details all over the Internet. I don't want to wake up with 5 grand missing from my bank account because autosport couldn't be bothered to protect my details enough.

Nope I've just had a family member and a variety of friends have their bank accounts hacked because of the lack of security on websites unable to keep details secured when buying stuff with their cards. Internet crime is always going up and I would rather avoid it if I can.

Yea, be careful with the card details, had mine done twice, both with transactions in the States, got them sorted but its a pain in the arse.

Even had a woman with an Indian accent phone me up saying she was from TalkTalk asking me for my bank details, yea right.
