Button too now: Button fears unpredictability overkill http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/7785475/Button-fears-unpredictability-overkill
They are all saying this because they only have one hand on the title. So they are ****ting themselves.
Notice how the drivers whinging about it have usually been trounced by their team mates the week before. Schumacher did it after Rosberg wiped the floor with him in China and Bahrain, Webber was whinging the other week after getting well beat by Seb in Bahrain and Spain - notice how he had no complaints about unpredictability when he became the sixth different winner in 6 grands prix - and now Button after getting his arse handed to him in Spain and Monaco. Stupid argument as well, unpredictability will get boring , it's like complaining that you get paid too much.
[edited for grown-ups] Have you noticed how the drivers who aren't complaining are those who seem to be benefiting? It's just common sense. Personally, I find the unpredictability is often making race wins pointless, rather than boring. I think the casual fan might like it, to be honest, but to me it's taken the value of a race win away. As for the championship/title race I think that, as everyone use the same tyres, all this means is that different qualities will be required to make you a title contender, and being a consistent high points paying position finisher will be more important than being a race winner. Which means (this season) that being able to cope with an unpredictable/inconsistent tyre/car will make you a title winner, which plays into certain drivers hands, while those who like a predictable/stable car will suffer more than most. We may even have a title won by a driver who doesn't win a single race or only 1 maybe, whilst others win more (but have more non points paying finishes too) which might strike some people as odd. Maybe the "unpredictability" is a good thing for the sport in some people's minds though, and maybe the casual fan will like that we have had lots of different winners in lots of different cars, only time will tell, as hopefully the Monaco debacle (the fisrt 1/3 of the "race" in particular, where no one seemed to actually want to race) will be a one off. For now, one thing that I can say for certain is that fans of drivers who the new tyre world is suiting will keep on writing comments like the one that I quoted, while fans of those drivers who are struggling will think that these new tyre are ridiculous and should be banned now. Personally, I think that there was little wrong with the tyres that we had last year, but there you go.
On this one point i agree with you. It is a weakness to be a hypocrite, but yes it is what makes us human.
I'm not a hypocrite I just changed my mind and I didn't inform you. JB is now sticking up for Schumacher... Jenson Button says critics of Michael Schumacher should understand the demands of becoming competitive again
