I really cant be doing with so-called UK Hip Hop. I dunno, maybe its because I have never been to Compton, but American hip hop (specifically Gangster rap, as it was originally known) had an air of authenticity, you felt that these kids were products of their environment, people like Eazy E and Ice Cube. Where as UK rap, it feels like a bunch of ****s pretending to be impoverished and all criminal like when the roughest thing they have ever done is stole a ****ing Bluray of a Dizzee Rascal concert from HMV. It comes off fake as ****, and not just the music, the mannerisms, the ****ty made up patois accents, and the ****ing retarded vernacular to boot. Just **** right off you childish, wannabe gangster spunk buckets.
Yeah I suppose, it doesn't get much reaction from me as I don't listen to it. But i know its all about selling bricks and stabbing rivals, and making vids with expensive rental cars in some shoddy council estate with 50 man In Ski masks making gun Signs with their fingers. Been there done that
End of the day, it’s young people making music. You don’t have to like the music, or the lyrics, to believe that creativity is something that should be encouraged. But for some reason, society loves to demonise music and blame it for problems that are not of it’s making. Back in the day, jazz, rock n roll, reggae, glam rock, punk rock, and hip hop were all going to turn the yoof into degenerates and lead to the downfall of society.
Sat here at work and I couldn't be more offended; I can hear the clock ticking ffs! The inconsiderate arsehole!
I'm not for all that tbh mate, it's not music's fault these feral ****s have no honor or respect or value of life. Its the breaking down of the family unit, lack of consequences both at home and in life.. Music's just music, but drill music has no positive message whatsoever. You can say it's a reflection of the life's they live but that's bollocks for 90% of them. So if they wanna live that life they can die by it. Its when it spills into other peoples life's is where it all goes wrong. And it does. Brapbrap
