Homer Simpson, peter Griffin, or even my dead granny for starters.......I am not asking for him to be replaced as chairman but i am asking him to leave team affairs to those who know what they are doing.....

 

It looks like some think we should send Huw down the Rock Island Liine

 

That will be up to the American owners, they may well have someone from across the water or they may well stick with Huw, depending on his performance.

 

If that happens then I'll be seriously worried about our club. You may not like Huw, but he is a local lad with the best interest of our club at heart. If they start shifting people out then any semblance of our club being local will be lost forever imo! Be careful for what you wish for here.

 

It's not a case of what I wish for, it's the harsh reality of what is likely to happen. One of the "soundbites" (for want of a better word!) that came out of the pre-sale was that the Board had taken the Club as far as they could. That included Huw. They have given the Club a great decade and I think everyone on here appreciates that.

But people get tired, physically and mentally tired and I feel it's a matter of time before Huw steps down and is replaced by a fresher, newer model in an attempt to take the Club forward.

 

I think the taking it further was more financial than anything else, there are a lot of restrictions on the club progressing, for example the purchase of the stadium, the expansion of the stadium, and the commercial side of things.

I believe that Morgan has the capability of all that as he can employ people and obviously has the money, but he doesn't want to risk huge sums of money there, and let's face it who can blame him, he has other interests that makes him far more money than a football club.

My concern with the yanks is that they will bring people in with no connection to the club at all, them doing that will mean the end of our club being a part of our community, I believe the trust will end should the yanks take more than another 7% of the club, because I think once they achieve that amount of ownership they must buy out the trust and everyone else and take total ownership, that's why I'm saying be careful what you wish for, Huw has 5% of the club, he goes then I suspect he will sell out to the yanks.

 

Lets see how this season goes first before calling for a change with the chairman.....If we do struggle and spend all season like last season then i do think we will have to think about a change of chairman and Guildo should be sacked if we have start poor and playing catchup after 10 games... Hopefully we will do ok...time will tell....
