We were doing fantastic up till Christmas then the "injury "infestation hit while facing the whos who of Teams , nobody wants to acknowledge that but its a FACTo
We never did nothing not even the league cup can be put down to him as we were still playing the Swansea way. It was only after that that we were crap and that was down to laudrup and his ways of playing on the field and off field ways where he did not have a clue how to treat players... Thank god he's gone...

So we will still be playing Laudrup's way until next Christmas then. Therefore all that praise you've been heaping on Monk is in fact Laudrup's. If we stay up, Laudrup. If we make a good start to next season, Laudrup. Do you realise how ridiculous you are now? Can you understand how most are having a good laugh at the drivel you keep repeating? No? Didn't think so. Simpleton.
This forum is getting very tiresome and boring with the same 2 groups of people arguing the same points over and over. Why cant those that are glad he is gone give him the credit he deserves for winning what we did and getting us into Europe and the other side appreciate that ML had taken us as far as he could and it was time to move on and accept that the board did what they needed to do. You all just seem to continually want to score points off each other. You all seem to revel in the arguments more than actual football discussions. Lets all move on and accept that both sides have a point. For the record I I thought tha that the ML appointment was the right one at the time, he brought in some class players and mixed up our playing style, something most fans were crying out for (plan A, B and C etc) as the fear of second season syndrome, other teams sussing us out etc etc was constantly pointed out on this very forum by the very same fans that are now arguing. However, as it turns out he had his shortcomings (too small a squad for Europe, lack of motivating players ets etc). Although I dont agree with the way the sacking appeared to be carried out. (I say this as I dont know what really happened behind closed doors and can only go on what I have read or heard and, if most people on here were honest with themselves all of our opinions are based on our own observations, hearsay and media. All this inside info crap is just that. Unless you are related to a board member or ML you cant actually say you KNOW anything. For that matter if you are related I am sure you wouldnt be posting on here with their knowledge). As for Monk being appointed I cant say I was jumping for joy at the prospect but so far it appears that the players have reacted positively and are responding to him in a way they dont seem to have over the past few months under ML. That said we have still only won one game and are still 4 points off relegation. As has been said before it is a results business after all. Palace is the crunch game for me, if we can win that and win it comfortably then it bodes well for the rest of the season. I for one support whoever is in charge. However if whatever happens in the next 12 or so weeks lets not continue to crucify our previous manager and by the same token put Monk on a pedestal. I hope that people can draw a line under this and match threads wont continue to spiral downwards into the usual ML wouldve done this or Monk would do that petty arguments. Apologies for the soapbox diatribe but have been up since 5with my 2 year old and was bored lol.
^ This , it's like watching 8 year olds' squabbling over the girl with a bag of sweeties but much less entertaining .
Obviously I'm seen as one of the 8 year olds! But believe it or not I agree wholeheartedly. I haven't posted any anti-Monk threads or written posts aimed at denigrating him. I'll always support Swansea City and the manager....but I'm sorry I will respond to people writing spiteful bile and downright lies regarding Laudrup. I believe it reflects badly on our club. In reality it's the same old characters on the WUM. If they are happy about the change of manager why don't they get on with supporting him...without the sly digs at Laudrup?
Jesus Dai, up until the time we won the league cup our passing was superb as the emphasis was on attacking and getting the ball into goal scoring opportunities as quickly as possible. FFS at least give ML credit for the way we played up until the Cup victory
ATTENTION PLEASE! Will all those agreeing with bap666's excellent post now move on please, and support Monk the Magnificent, thank you in anticipation of your kind co-operation. Kind regards DRAGON.......................................
"Man management, and being able to motivate players, are crucial qualities for a manager — it’s not just about setting up a team — and Garry has been different class in that sense. If you have him there showing that fight, that passion and that drive, as a player you respond to that." - Lee Trundle Message from my mate Lee…… ....
