Ron Burgess was my first ever manager not that i can remember him though. billy lucas, harry gregg and roy bentley and who could forget old harry griffiths i do remember..

I have been told that dragon was great mates with Walter Whittaker i can believe it too..<laugh>

sorry could not resist dragon..<laugh>

Ha, ha, I'm not that old mate, way before my time! ......Mind I do feel very Victorian on here on times........................<laugh>

These things can be taken out of context but even if these are HJ's thoughts I cannot see the benefit of saying them to the media. What is he hoping to achieve... perhaps another fallout with a successful manager!

ML does make these sort of comments to the press, but I am sure he is doing everything he can to compete with all teams and I think his history suggests he enjoys the odd big scalp. Of course with lots of games he cannot allow himself, media or players to dwell on any result, they have re-focus on the next game. ML talked up Valencia and still does but his team went over and got the win.

If the players start to believe this different league stuff then that is a problem but either way Huw should not go talking to the media.

I am sure most of respect HJ for sticking to the club's philosophy but occasionally he seems to pick a fight. For example the problem over the summer could have been a disaster and possibly has effected chairman - manager relations.

I hope HJ has been miss quoted.

In the past I have pretty much taken the view you are holding Neathjack, and Norway too, but with the current issues of our form, and the money that our board and Chairman have spent, I think that I am on this occasion going to come down on the side of Huw Jenkins, although these issues in the media are never a good thing, and the media need no sniff of any disharmony between Chairman and Manager!......................<ok>

Each place is worth a lot of money and im sure huw is not expecting to be down the bottom in our third season and losing games that we should be winning, Our players were given a handsome bonus by huw at the end of last season and i think he thinks the players are not giving it their all, one or two are like michu but we need the whole team to put their life on the line and i have been told there have been a few home truths spoken by huw and the board to everyone not just the players. I hope everyone has took on board what has been said and our season will get back on track starting with stoke...I think it will ,.........they should look at cardiff their players wont be getting a bonus and huw should threaten them with the same if they don't improve and show commitment and a willing to earn their fantastic wages...

Unfortunately Dai, given that we had an incredible season last year, a lot of players are believing in their own press and thinking all they have to do is turn up and win.

Well i hope they were told that they finished the season as the 2nd worst team behind qpr and its carrying on this season. Huw is not stupid and neither are the fans and we can see the danger on our survival if it continues. The players can move on if god forbid we go down and they will still be handsomely rewarded.

Don't know what huw Jenkins is on about completely out of order undermining the manager. Everyone knows that there are two leagues within a league if Huw Jenkins feels otherwise his knowledge of the premier league is dire. All you have to do is go back 10-15 years and its the same top six sides dominating the premier league. I just can't believe Jenkins thinks the contrary, if he does he's barking. So why say it, absolutely pointless.

two leagues yes where there are only 6 teams in one of them but not three like laudrup thinks. why should he put into the players minds that we should not be disappointed if we lose to a top team and we should concentrate in coming out on top in the 3rd league...Huw has every right to be angry after all we have achieved from nothing to virtually be told we are a bottom half club...It is because of laudrups brand of football we are where we are with just two wins..laudrup is out of order not huw...

Unfortunately Dai, given that we had an incredible season last year, a lot of players are believing in their own press and thinking all they have to do is turn up and win.

Against Cardiff all they should have had to do is turn up and win. You'll have to ask Michael Laudrup why we turned up and played for a draw instead.

because lone laudrup's philosophy is to play for a draw when away from home. He had the players believing that all they had to do is turn up and a draw would be a great result....how wrong yet again has he been..You can imagine his instructions can you.." Don't forget now lads we have a very important european game coming up in a few days...Be careful"..
