The only good thing about this guy killing himself is that he didn't kill anyone else. Usually these kind of people think they are making a statement by murdering innocent people who cannot defend themselves, then being a coward and turning the gun on themselves. Without knowing the person, I feel I might have an idea of what this person was like, ie. someone who has so much hatred for gay people and no tollerance for something they do not or want to understand. These are the kind of people who would have kicked up a fuss of mixed marriages. No, it's not nice when someone dies, unless it was a homophobic hitlerite ****!!!!
I've no idea what prompted this guy to turn his opposition to gay marriage into a reason for suicide - I can understand the fears that such marriages hold in the minds of millions of people of faith but to kill oneself seems a tad extreme. There again, self immolations have been the cause of revolutions (Arab Spring, Czechoslovakia etc) so maybe this guy in performing such a potent symbolic act hoped to light the match so to speak and cause a repeal.
