There's been loads of times (far too many to mention) that I just couldn't see us making it, from Warnock's slump to half time yesterday via getting thumped at Sunderland and Chelsea. Anyone unphased by that lot, not to mention the downs in Bolton's games against West Brom and Stoke were either deluded as Swords said or away with the fairies (another of his musings!). Let's face it, we survived alright but by no more than a few loose cells on the skin of our collective teeth. Maybe God got swayed by all the pitiful officiating and veto'd the evil FA!
