Lets not get too carried away because Hulse won 2 headers FFS he is finished and has no right to be in the 25.
I've always put hulse and bothroyd on roughly the same level, for me jay has always been massively overhyped, how he's played for England I will never know.
Totally agree - when he came on I was thinking, oh here we go thats this game finished for us. Even in the warm up I was shocked to see him there. But MH must see something there surely. He wouldnt play him just to get him in the shop window. But he pleasantly surprised me yesterday. Showed much more determination than Bothroyd and was chasing all over the place. He clearly is fitter now than he was before, and perhaps a 4-4-2 will see him more suited to our style of play. Rather than being a lone striker. There is a method to my madness!
Fair enough Jude. Watford saying something similar on the other Hulse thread, so maybe (just maybe!) you might be on to something. Watch this (rather large) space eh?
It would definatley be a long shot, and as you say, watch this large space. But no harm in trying him seeing as 3 of our 4 strikers so far this season have failed to impress.
