I do...yes honestly...and let me tell you this FOR A FACT...Rowlands wanted to play. He was gutted that warnock wouldnt pick him but he said Quote "he just don't like me mate"....!! He may not have played but he put in the hard graft and made others work a bit harder to keep thier places......Maybe in an indirect way he did help... All his bad points aside, club dinner etc (thats another subject) he did try.... By what you say flyer, you ae almost correct...but not totally. Cookie, should never have been bought back, but i would not call him a waster by any means....thats opinion....
How someone can call either of these 2 players a waster after all they did for our club is, in my opinion, shocking.
In the last year of their contracts they preferred sitting there doing nothing rather than leaving to get 1st team football. What they did earlier has no effect on what they did at the end.
They both had bad injury records and it's unlikely anyone would have taken them on permanently for more than a pittance. They both went out on loan and did their bit to get moves eventually. They also both had a lot to do with us being in the Championship or even existing as a club at all in Cook's case, so I don't think they should be begrudged a penny of what they've made.
Completely wrong...we've had this discussion before mate, and I've explained that i know him and his family well. i've also explained to you, many times, why he didnt play... You need to look into those memory banks of yours.... Judo remembers, why cant you ?
Well you'll have to have it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again............................................. Because he'll not let up mate.
Its not about why he didnt play, its why he and the others didnt move on when it was clear they were never going to play. Which is why I never want to sign players to put us in that position again, mediocre/old/injury prone/high wages are not a good combination or do you disagree and think we should offer massive long deals and pay players double what theyre worth? Do you think the Rowlands, Hulse, Agyemang and Cook contracts were good business?
I can't blame any player, especially ones that are nearing the end of their career, for seeing out a contract if they can't do better elsewhere. They have families to support etc. It is very frustrating for us, but it's the clubs problem, not theirs.
Thats a fair POV but as Im saying we shouldnt have signed those contracts in the 1st place. Something everyone is totally failing to understand. On the other hand you cant blame fans for having a go at players doing nothing while wasting a total of 60-80k a week doing nothing.
Mate, many times its been explained about Colin wanting a cut and not letting him move on..Its not only common knowledge is fact... Dont disagree withthe rest, most of those contracts shouldnt have taken place, and I understand your point of view regarding the 30+ limit, even if i dont "completely" agree with it. I just think your mixing up the players who wanted to play with those that couldn't give a toss...? Agree Cookie (as good as he was) should never have come back, Rowly wasnt allowed to go anywhere, Others were terribly bad bussiness and bad decisions on Someones (Not sure it was all NW) account.
It rhymes with Mianni Paladini. Agyemang did a Seth Johnson, going into contract talks hoping for a 2 year contract on 8k a week and walking out with a 4 1/2 year deal on 15k, no doubt with a well earned commission for the super agent thrown in.
