Hull City Vs QPR - Ian Holloway:

"I'm going against protocol here but Hull are going to be a major force this season and although it hurts to say it, they'll be too strong at home against QPR. The strength in depth Hull have got is frightening. The main difficulty when getting relegated is getting that winning feeling again. You need to feel that you're going to win games. I think they'll be formidable this season.

Steve Bruce has got the ability to switch his formations and Curtis Davies, Michael Dawson and Alex Bruce are a quality defensive unit. I think Charlie Austin might have issues getting much out of them.

Mo Diame picked up a goal the other day and I think he'll get another one. He's fantastic player."

I read stuff on a forum of theirs recently and generally their supporters are pessimistic for the game. But it's more about the performance of their team and what a shambles they think they are. Someone mentioned that we are likely to have a more solid team. So defensively they probably think they have problems.
 
Holloway lost the comment there with the bit about Austin, I know I'm going a bit senile but I'm sure he scored when I was there last season at the KC
 
Whenever City come up against QPR I can't help thinking back to the mid sixties contest with them in the old Division Three. Oh, and with Coventry too. I thought both were class acts in those days, and the Coventry supporters made more noise at Boothferry Park than we did. They had hand bells I remember.

Is it me or are football grounds quieter these days?

Well that's one more reason to put this down as an away win! I hate these type of stats, always seem to bok us!
Also we didn't really play them on a regular basis in the league until 2005, that's the usual 30 year gap when stats like that are talked about!

Maybe I'm an optimist but like with most stats it's how they are interpreted, the media wouldn't hesitate on using a we haven't beaten [insert team here] for x amount of years when we have hardly played them so with this one being in our favour I will use it :emoticon-0110-tongu

I just have it in my head that we don't seem to lose this fixture, Cardiff is another one we don't seem to lose often.
