Yep. All teams know they just need to sit back, watch us knock it around on the halfway line and then at some point, probably several times, we will pass it to their team when clean through.

 

It’s a lovely free kick, but it doesn’t solve: 1 our inability to convincingly breakdown an opposing defence despite buckets of possession and little one-twos around the centre circle and 2 the gaping holes in our defence and our ability to play the perfect through ball to the opposition

 

Conviction is the key word for me, we looked brilliant in the first 15mins, then we slowed down after not making the dominance count and Hull have since imposed themselves on us physically and fairly, besides a few occasions where they’ve dragged us to the ground which the ref deemed ok

Now bottom of the Championship. The new boys this season will wonder what they have signed up to. So, what is the problem? All this “we always have a slow start to the season” as a reason has now been buried. Having been bottom of the EPL for most of last season, we are repeating the feat in this league.
