That's exactly what I said. His ego is more important than the team.

We're playing well. Far from not being confident enough, young Furlong was too cocky with that silly trick he tried which led to the fracas in which Barton got himself sent off.

Bobby's getting no change out of that Ref a'tall. On another day he'd get away with all his pushing and shoving.

The midfield will be getting slaughtered against their 5 as they tire. He's got to change it I would have thought. I'd get Doughty on for OBZ at half time, although, as you say, keeping two up front could be our best chance of getting another goal.
 
Had a house inspection so tuned in to find Barton sent off and we're one-nil down. I can accept red cards for mistimed tackles etc but not stupidity after the whistle has gone.

We've got a lot to do but at least Austin will take a boost in confidence from this whatever happens.
 
A question for those watching..............after Barton got sent off, did CR change anything? Shape etc? Can't believe we'll continue with just 3 in the midfield against their 5.
 
Phillips crossing is sublime. Guessing we may have to play one up front in the second half

Same as at Wembley.
 
inevitably the yellow for Zamora.

We haven't got much pace but neither have they, especially in midfield. I'd fancy Zarate/Vargas with the ball at their feet against their CBs.

Furlong playing a bit of a blinder actually.......horrible feeling that Rio may actually be helping him.
