If you go two up front then you have to play the wide players deeper IMO. I don't think that suits us, particularly Hazard.

Well Costa is out now hamstring again !! That's not good, it's obviously , no other way to put this, his achilles heel! That makes him the only person on earth to have an achilles where his hamstring should be, but you get the point.
Remy should get the nod but Jose loves Drogba ! Hazard and Ivan will be next ones injured, they play too much. Hazard out would be a disaster as he's the only penetrating attacker in form and does virtually all the work.

diamond or a 352 could work i think:

    remy----costa
    -----eden------
    cesc--------ramieres/willian
    ------- matic-----------

with the ball, without it cesc could drop deeper into his normal position, both eden and ramieres slot into the wide positions and remy plugs the gap ahead of the midfield two.

    remy----costa

    ------eden---------

    luis--cesc--matic--willian(/ramieres/ivanovic)--

    --terry--kurt--cahill(/ivanovic)---

^ why this hasn't been tried, i dont know.

Too late in the season to be trying something too different I suspect but I did think the same myself a few weeks back as a way of getting 2 up front but maintaining numbers in midfield.
