In homage to Hull City's first fledgling steps as a club back in 1904, the side will play in black and white and have adopted the nickname the Citizens.

Oh and paying people to go and watch.

Not entirely sure if that plan will work but only time will tell. Best of luck to them. Anyone going?

Hull United AFC looks quite good written down.
Mind you you won't see much football played tonight the pitch is shocking

We didn't play in black and white. Club colours were always black and amber.

Sounds a bit 'common' and 'irrelevant'.

Maybe they need some good marketing advice.

No. Just Kingston United.

Harold Needler wanted to rename us after the war as Kingston Upon Hull City AFC, playing in blue shirts with orange trim and white shorts with the three crowns as the badge. Heaven knows what Allam would have done if he had succeeded. There is nowhere I know of in Asia, or elsewhere , where three crowns are revered. Although he could have altered the name to a shorter one. Hull City AFC for example.

He wanted to call us Kingston Upon Hull AFC.
 
There already is a Hull Tigers registered with the ERCFA, someone had the smarts to register the name before silly bollocks got round to it

'The bible' has two conflicting pictures both purporting to be the same event.

The players in the white shirts pic on page 12 are unnamed.

The players in the striped shirts pic on p107 are all named as are all the directors.

Is anyone seriously believing the unnamed players are the ones who played against Notts Co?

And at what point did all the players rush into the dressing room and change their shirts between the first and the second pictures, and why?

Chris has clouded the issue big time.

I've already had to correct OLM on this.

In my book no one on page 107 is wearing striped shirts, or white ones. However on page 108 there is a photograph of the squad which began our first league campaign in 1905 who are all wearing black and white.

Why would the directors have beeb in striped shirts, the same as Notts County wore at a time when a football kit was not something which you could easily lay your hands on let alone enough for a whole team.
 
I would have gone but sadly unable as i shall be on board a ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge.
