Taylor also started games we have lost, Davies is on fire at the moment and hopefully baldocks goal Tuesday have him a bit of confidence, we could really destroy hull, but its just that bloody defense!

Fontaine is injured, Elliott a doubt so here's my team.

    .......................Heaton......................
    Foster.....J.Wilson....McManus......Bryan
    Adomah..Skuse...Davies.....Anderson
    ............Baldock....Taylor...............

If Stead is fit possibly swap him with Taylor, just because he runs his bollocks off. But Taylor wins more in the air, wins freekicks against him, and holds the ball up better. But we need people to defend better from the front so Stead wins as he hurries their defence more into hoofing it rather than allowing them time on the ball.

And either Heaton or McManus is captain as they're the only voices you will hear throughout the game. Skuse is definetely not captain material.

ROD, a good choice especially the back four although I cannot see DMc going with this in a month of Sundays. He's lost Fonts so will not leave out Carey.

But as we have a dreadful record for conceding goals are you not being too ambitious with five defensive - the back four and Skuse - and five attackers one or two of whom are not noted for any defensive qualities whatsoever.

I think we need six defensive and four attackers but which of the attackers to sacrifice from your selection I don't know as you, like me appreciate Taylor's ability to win aerial battles and to hold it up til support arrives.

It would be sacrilege to leave out Albert wouldn't it ? (Devil's advocate; is he too much of an inconsistent luxury at present ?)

It could be Anderson, not because he does not deserve to be finally in the starting line up, but will Joe Bryan need more defensive support from the left midfielder in front of him?

I don't envy DMc with his team selection this week as we must not lose this one.

See we've signed Briggs - whoopy do !

We can't afford luxuries so Albert should miss out. We need to grind out a clean sheet, if we score ok but a clean sheet is paramount.
Then I think who parters Skuse in CM - Ordinary Pearson looks to be ill, Elliott is bloody inured again and Del's star signing Morris is useless.
In reality we don't have anyone unless Del thinks Davies can play CM (ROD, might be a good shout) - we're left clutching at straws.

We don't have a decent midfielder and CH - end of.
12 months on - it's taken to get this far, Brilliant.

Hang on, we've got a shed load of strikers - you can't make it up.
    Utterly useless management.

To be fair RP when Elliotts back we're 2 players short of a good team

    Heaton

    Foster ???? McManus Cunningham

    Adomah Elliott ???? Anderson

    Davies Baldock

Now dependinp on those 2 players that team looks quality, and Briggs can play on both sides so perhaps if he does well we can swap him with foster, might be a young defense though

Redprintt - You constantly criticise the current set-up and sometimes you make some valid points e.g. Elliot.

However, surely you will know that quality CMs and CBs don't come cheap, if you are a club and have quality players in those positions you would not let them go cheaply because these are the key positions which can be the difference over the course of a season between promotion to mid-table and mid-table to relegation.

I am interested in who you would sign if you was Del Boy? Who in the Championship would you have to come in at CB and CM to drive us forwards up the league? I can think of a plethora of players that would do a job but unfortunately they are all at bigger clubs and would not in their right minds take a 'step-down'. By the way do you know much about the new boy Briggs!? Probably not! Let's give him a chance, he has to be a vast improvment on what we have and Fulham fans on other forums seem to rate him very highly. A lot like Cunningham if you will.

I know you're a realist and as such I am amazed that you are so highly critical at the moment, it's going to take time to turn this ship around and whilst I agree some of Del's tactical decisions have been questionable, I would rather be where we are now than where we were this time last season!! It's easy to be armchair managers but that's why Football Manager and Championship manager is for. I would personally start Stead every game because his work rate off the ball is second to none and he stops the opposition from building from the back and getting into patterns of play. It's no coincidence that our early good form came when he was in the team. Not everyone will agree with me on that but for me Stead and Elliot would be the first two names on my team sheet at the moment. As you say, Redprintt we need people who are willing to die for our cause and no one does that better than Marv or Jon.

'do you know much about the new boy Briggs!?' - Fulham mate tells me he's a good signing, a great prospect.
However the centre of our defence is still the main area of concern and has been since McInnes's arrival.

'I am amazed that you are so highly critical at the moment' - I am amazed that you are not highly critical at the moment.

McInnes has had 12 months -
We're 4th bottom, he hasn't a clue who his best side is and changes personnel/positions every game, Fonts, who's in a nightmare and yet he plays him LB one game and RCB 3 days later, he's said since day 1 we needed a CH and midfielder - we STILL do.
And here's the crunch we have FIVE Strikers - My biggest gripe.
How bloody stupid can you get FIVE strikers and not a defender in sight.
To cap it all we have to put up with McInnes's star signing - Jody ***** Morris.

Hey, don't ask me which CH or CM to get - that's why we pay McInnes £1,000's each week.

ps - My advice (free) is to pair Elliott (when fit) and Skuse in CM, and drop Adomah to the bench until our 1st clean sheet.

    Ashton Matt - we're now 2nd bottom.

And Matt - what about ' he hasn't a clue who his best side is and changes personnel/positions every game'.

Only FIVE changes today, he's a sodding joke.

Redprintt - I must admit I didn't go tonight. I have a season ticket in the Ateyo but with a wedding imminent and moving into a new house I can't justify wasting the petrol and bridge money to watch the **** currently being served up. For reasons unknown Del has lost the plot. I was happy to cut him some slack with transfers by thinking he was waiting for the right type of player but the jury is well and truly out.

The clocks go back tonight and I'm afraid its going to be a long, hard winter! Stead out wide!? Bloody ridiculous!

I just don't know where our next point let alone three are coming from! Can't see myself at the Gate in the near future.
