It did. Yeah anyway was the warehouse no7 where the Holiday inn car park now is. I see it was originally refused demolition
I remembered that there were rail lines in the cobbles in the streets I was referring to earlier in this thread. I was googling around and found these pics. Recent pics, but historical relics. I remember then running down the sides of Prinny and Humber Docks, and the goods vans used to get pushed up and down the rails by little shunters, but they had road wheels, so were pretty manoeuvrable: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/in...aterfront-hull-town-docks-trackwork-remnants/
Theres a bit still there on Anlaby Rd Stan. Think it was the actual sheds. Next to what was Tradex. Dunno how to post a pic of google maps. I've dug up loads of setts back in the 80's they just got thrown away. Now they're all the rage.
The railway lines are still in the cobbles near railway dock Theyre a nightmare when on your bike if its wet or frosty Nearly came a cropper more than once on thwm lately

Nothing to do with the thread except it's about the good old days. My dad told me that a guy he worked with at Spillers on Stoneferry Road was riding home on his bike after a night shift as he went past a copper on the beat. The guy shouted a few choice insults at the copper. The next morning he was riding home on his bike and half a dozen coppers jumped out and gave him a good hiding.
OLM in the 60s we used to catch pigeons in this old warehouse and sell then to a pet shop down st paul st [i think] it was nicknamed RED CLOCK cos of the massive clock on top which was.....red!!! of course it was a death trap but thats nowt to a 12 year old. happy days.as i hit my teens we used the area to drink cider and sherry with our birds [not pigeons]
