Absolute garbage, can't be bothered to moan about that one, almost everyone had a poor game. Mick keeping the team on the pitch after the whistle, it has to be all over for him now.
I think Mick could be walking from the sound of it at the end. Can't blame him if he has been undermined by the powers that be
Stick Nash in charge until the end of the season, we're not going up or down. Man I hope there's some sort of announcement in the next few hours/tomorrow
Rumour is Mick’s post match team talk in the centre circle was his farewell to the players.. Though I don’t believe anything will happen for a week or two and it’s just some spotty oiks on twitter getting excitable
Just saw the clip.....looks to me MM telling the players to forget the boos and get on with it.....he is going nowhere yet.
I think he's taking the "them vs us" culture to the extreme and is trying to turn the players against the club's own supporters. Look at the quotes from Mick on the club's own Twitter feed. Quotes such as "the players and staff have to stick together" and apologising to the players that his presence is causing the negative atmosphere. Clearly trying to make supporters the scapegoats and clearly not the way to manage a football club. Mick needs to be sacked now. If we had an owner with a spine and a scrap of dignity and ambition, he would have done this a lot sooner, as far back as last season when we narrowly avoided relegation by four points. If the board are intending to announce Mick isn't getting a new contract in two weeks time, they should just get it over with and put Mick and the supporters out of our misery and part ways now. As for the game, I didn't see it and didn't bother following it. In the end, I'm not surprised we lost after the successful formation was changed and several new faces were brought in. Almost a completely new midfield, beggars belief! It is almost as if Mick wanted us to lose to prove a point!
I agree with this almost in its entirety, except for the last line. Mick has always said he is his own man and doesn't change the side to appease/pander to the fans. The team selection for last night was, therefore, his own choice and demonstrates once again what a clueless t#sser he is tactically. First half Chambers and Carter Vickers were either too shortsighted or stupid to see we had two of the shortest frontmen in the division and continually lumped the ball upfield in their general direction.Second half was moderately better but we only huffed and puffed as usual and made what, to date, has been a poor Hull side, look ok.No goals since the beginning of the year at home, managers have walked for less
I had the misfortune to go to the match last night and I am shocked at the level we are now playing at, the 6 changes meant we were clueless and uncompetitive in midfield which put almost permanent pressure on our back four in the first half. In fact our penalty area became a Hull City playground and Bart had to make 3 saves before they scored and it could have been much worse but for a Chambers block and a shot which hit the foot of the post with Bart beaten, its no exaggeration to say that we could have been 5 down by half time. In the second half Waggy came on with Connolly and Hull scored again while the defence stood and watched, Sears tried hard but the useless Cellina contributed a shedload of ineptitude all night, Ward gave his all while Hyam contributed bugger all, the defence was in the main dreadful ( no Webster ?) with Knudsen caught out of position many times, Spence was a nightmare of incompetence all night and simple passes of a few yards seemed beyond the skill levels of many players so we hoofed long high balls to Sears who not surprisingly didn't win any. Hull looked world beaters up against this rag bag of a team in blue shirts until mid way through the second half when we had all the possession but did nothing with it, just a shameful, inept, pub team standard display against mediocre opposition. The official gate figures were in excess of 13000 but this was pure fiction or blatant lies to be precise, what are you going to do Evans?
Oh how foolish of me to even entertain the thought that there might have been an announcement about Mick leaving us when I woke up this morning. It seems that Mick's pitch talk yesterday was just to create an us versus them situation and look to blame the fans for the poor atmosphere instead of it being a product of yet another terrible game seen by the home fans, who eventually got bored and entertained themselves with sarcastic ole's for us passing it around the back.
I have just seen the story where Mick is saying he has no intention of going anywhere before the end of the season though
It's been obvious all along Mick wouldn't walk and if Evens isn't going to sack him,the very best we can hope for at this stage is a statement that his contract won't be extended/renewed in May.In the meantime we're all just in limbo.
In the cold light of day......I don’t think MM should be sacked and he should stay till the end of the season as he has in my opinion done his best and his overly cautious football aside I think he is a decent bloke and also the season is over anyway.......I do think that M.Evans and Milne have made things harder than they should be for both MM and the fans by not giving a clear picture of the future.......they seem to see the fans as a hiderance that needs dealing with once in a while but not to be given any real respect.
