Anti drugs. There are special teams deployed round the KC to removed trainers from lights too.

It happens every single year and people still have this pointless argument.

Even in 2010-2011 when our overall form was better in the second half of the season (pretty much the only season to have that pattern in recent years) our home form still went to **** in the second half of the season. It always does.

No one really seems to know why the pitch is ****. It always goes **** around the time two teams start playing on it but last year they blamed it on a parasitic worm infection in the soil (no seriously) and that it had been solved and would no longer be a problem, yet here we are.

The pitch is getting re-layed in the summer. The club needs to buy those sun lamps that other grounds have. A lack of sun in certain parts does not help with grass growth. It needs sorting out and quick especially if we are a PL club come 3pm saturday.

That's because, as Ive said on here many times, the whole parasitic worm story was a crock of **** to placate people complaining about the pitch. It worked last year, the only problem was that meant they needed a new excuse for this year.

    Afternoon all <ok>

How much rent are you getting from them?

Just wonder if it's worth ****ing them off or unless you can't afford too because you'll need a lovely playing surface if you go up <ok>

For the record I hope you do it so good luck against the sheep shaggers - rather see you guys go up than Watford for abusing the loan system and you deserve it as you've been second for so long! <ok>

The pitch is nowhere near the state it was last season, when it could probably have rivalled blackpools atrocity this season.

And therein lies part of the problem. Ive said it on here many, many times - the pitch was designed with woven in plastic fibres to NEVER be relayed. They fooked it up royally the first time they dug it up and relayed it and it has never recovered since.

    FACT.

<cheers> thanks. Good luck at Derby on saturday. <ok> My bet is Barnsley to go down sadly despite what they did to us last week.

Just to clarify - the reason the pitch goes like it does is down to the lack of sun it gets during the winter months due to the West Stand. It's funny how when the rugby season finishes, the pitch is immaculate, when the rugby side comes back in January it is very poor.

Look at pitches like the DW whcih has both playing, the pitch is perfect. To see the evidence of the pitch being in a poor state, look where the areas are worse, centre circle (where 20 players will be congregating at goal kicks) and penalty areas (corners) - also, down near the goal line in the corners where the keepers warm up. I have yet to see a rugby game where all the players congregate in high numbers in the areas mentioned above to cause the damage that some on here claim to be the fault or rugby being played on the pitch.

That's a bad example youve chosen - the DW has regularly been derided as the worst pitch in the Prem and has been relayed many, many times mid season at great expense. This is probably the only year in history it hasnt been appalling.

AAAAARGH - where has anyone on here blamed rugby for the pitch being bad?!?!?!

Right, so you reckon the lack of sun down the west side is the reason grass doesn't grow in the middle and rugby players don't really use the middle, but footballer standing there will cause a problem?

    Good argument...honest. <laugh>

In the Winter the sun doesnt get high enough to get to the pitch due to the height of the west stand. is that hard to understand?

Righty ho, so that explains why the grass grows on the west side...obviously. <doh>

Have you ever spoken to John Cooper about what affects the pitch through the course of the year and how they try to manage these?

Born and raised in the Altrincham/Hale area of Manchester and now living in the delightful City of Hull - thanks for the interest into my personal life

Yep, I've spoken with John and several others. That's why your 'simple' version's got several holes in it.

How come you don't follow Salford or what ever RL club's nearest Altrincham?

It's true about the West Stand not getting in the sun, it's usually freezing in there, whatever time of day we're playing.

Father was a Man Utd fan, Mother (from Hull) was a Hull FC fan.

What is your waist size and your wife's name?
