Which roughly translates into You and the clique rounding on people that look at things differently ! Enjoy easter
I'm not sure its a clique more than people who went through the unneccesary abuse from Hull FC fans in the 80s which continues to today on both local media and rugby forums.. If you ever feel free to check, I am clearly not in any clique with City Man.
I'm 55 and dont need to be enlightened about the 1980s thanks I just dont hold a grudge all my life. And has for the match day thread what does that have to do with Rugby ?
Not sure why you're still struggling with this. If you're from Hull, support a local rl team but follow a football cub from elsewhere you're a ****.
That's to do with the individual and nothing to do with Hull FC or HKR. For what it's worth I always call out these individuals and try to show them the logic behind it all.
I too went through the crap in the 80s as regards City but I still supported Hull FC. The phrase of "when have you ever been to old Trafford, how the hell do you work out you support them" always worked. For me I used my brother in law to take me to FC games and he paid. My dad paid for my city admittance so it was win/win. Anyway think what you like I really don't give a monkeys chuff.
This is the simple point I know a Leeds fan who lives round here, but I never challenged him because he also supports Leeds Rhinos. I assume he was originally from Leeds so fair play. People who support their local British Bulldogs team, but then have a football club they allegedly support that happened to be successful when they started to do so are success hungry inadequates. A Batley Bulldogs fan who decided to support Hull City because they ‘chose’ a team when we were in the PL would be exactly the same. If any exist.
Well said.. to be honest coming from Batley I did get a lot of stick supporting City. Guess my secrets out..
Useful that the HDM are running a poll which show that 48% of votes cast say the Sunderland will win the League 1 title above City. (37%) Wonder if the Sunderland version has City as favourites and if they would print it if we were ?
My Granddad and his brother my Gt Uncle were both born in Bradford, brought to Hull at age 14 and 16 respectively, about the time City were formed ( 1904 ) They were both lifelong Hull City supporters attending every home match until age stopped them. They took me to my 1st City match, consequently I became a supporter too. My 7 year old Grandson born and living in Bristol is a Hull City supporter every time he is up here I take him to watch us play. His Dad, my son born in Hull, has a hell of a job to stop him wearing his Tigers shirt every day after school. Get them in early.
I’m not actually from Batley for the record but did work there for 8 months. Surrounded by Leeds fans...
