The 'invisiball' glitch is supposed to go if you use any ball other than the default one, that's how I fixed mine but I gather it doesn't work for everyone. Got the full City team on ultimate team and won Div 1 but then footie manager came out, so I haven't played fifa since.

I play the seasons game only at the moment and the ratings stay the same unless I missed something. I generally pick Matty but have found Simpson to be useless, Proschwitz seems a bit slow but have managed to score some bizarre wondergoals with him, Mclean does score, but Meiyler seems to give me that bit extra, a striker with a bit of height and power and he can finish.I'm thinking about giving the career game a go. I can sympathise with you not being able to play online, pretty harsh that really. I'm still finding seasons game addictive as hell though. Not tried Ultimate team doesn't interest me much.

Is seasons not the online head-to-head feature that was in Fifa 12? Player ratings won't go up on that as it's online and wouldn't be fair - when I said third season, I meant third career season.

As that's all we have (except friendles vs each other) then we're all just limited to having separate career saves. They like to gloat about winning Champions Leagues and Premier League titles whilst I get promoted and avoid relegation on goal difference.

How they can take the piss when I play on Legendary and they stick to Semi-Pro is beyond me <laugh>

In seasons ratings will only change in January if at all as that is the main fifa database and Seasons is its the multiplayer version. In career mode players all start off with the original ratings, but as the season progresses the more you play players who are young enough their stats go up.

I'd only play offline if I could be bothered to buy the new one. I don't see the fascination with playing any games online though*, I'd rather have a few people I know round and make a night of it than play some random from elsewhere in the world who signs out in a strop when they're getting hammered.

*Is it just an age thing, where I'm a bit older (or younger) than most people playing the game so I'm in the unusual position of having my own place to do what I want rather than living with parents (or partner and kids)?

I would agree with you, but I'm a lot better than my flatmates <laugh> And we're talking 9-0 here. It's fun for a game or two but I miss having a challenge, and with no access to online I've had to take on a career mode on legendary difficulty instead.

But yes, in the right circumstances I'd rather have a few mates around as opposed to going online and getting beaten 5-0 by 9-year-old Asians.

Drinking game, as well as the beer you're drinking anyway it's a shot every time you score.

Drink crappier beer for your drinking games then. We used to drink this ****, case of 30 for $9.98 (6.26 pounds) thats even cheaper than natty light.

Absolutely disgusting beer. I dont think I ever had one that didnt have a ping pong ball in it or one I didnt drink from a beer bong.

It's not the beer that's the problem - I was referring to the shots. Having said that, we could just buy Tesco value vodka and do shots with that - but the chances are none of us would actually make it to the club.

What club? You're making a night of having people round and having booze and takeaway, not of doing it before you go out.

Ah, that's why we were on different wavelengths <laugh>

I've never had more than a beer or two and not ended up going out - in fact, I've never even considered it. Doesn't seem like a bad idea to be fair, I'll kick the lasses out one night next week and we'll do it <ok>

Don't kick them out, just suggest it's been a while since they had a girls night out rather than everyone going out together.

That's what I meant, I didn't literally plan to kick them in the shins repeatedly until they left <laugh>
