Huddlestone hasn't been good enough this season. He's been good on the whole but not as good as the competition. Davies in the other hand has hardly had a bad game. Murmurs of a recent drop in form are vastly exaggerated and if he isn't composed on the ball then I'd love to see a defender who is. His competition at CH for England is gash. Only Cahill is a truly top defender; Jagielka is good and Stones promising but beyond those there's **** all. Smalling, Caulker and Jones aren't as good as Davies.
The PL stats have only John Terry and Gary Cahill above Curtis Davies. Bungling Woy has not done any research and just gone with his toy boys. But for the FA and Woy we could have had a back line of : - Johnson - Terry - Cahill and A.Cole (last 3 all Chelsea and the best defence in the PL). That would have given us Jags as back up which is a whole lot better than we have now. Jags ffs has been out for ages and if he breaks down then that is it. Davies should have gone as part of the defence.
