He can play anywhere - on the wing, as a No 10 or behind a striker. He'd be a great fit for the role Ramirez tried to fill on Saturday.

Arrghhh another striker who won't score then come summer we'll be moaning about him and want another striker. The problem with our team isn't the purley strikers. It's what happens behind them and what we create for them to score.
We've got to get the midfield further forward to support the strikers and try to dominate teams, get the ball in and around the box because that's the only way we'll get the best out of jelavic. Knocking the long ball upto him just bounces off him and we lose possession

whoever we get, if anyone let's hope they turn up match fit, and that we don't have to wait a couple of month before they get on the pitch.

Was Ipswich's Eric Gates a purley striker?

The problem with salah is brucey would play him on the right and as Elmo is undroppable he'd end up at RB which is a disaster waiting to happen

From what I could tell Ramirez was playing on the left of a central midfield 3, I wouldn't particularly like to see flower play there.

If we did bring the precious little flower in on loan I'd hope to see him on the wing. He's right footed and all isn't he...?

He's the midfield link to attack.

I agree, I think the midfield needs setting up differently or pushing 15 yds further up so hudd and jake aren't holding hands with the centre backs. Ideally we'd sign lassana diarra to sit then the others can push on

I reckon it's a bit of mischief making rather than a serious bid. Maybe that's for his big toe?

He's on a free in the summer so that might be enough
