Not quite. Its always the attackers that get the rewards but our defence has be as good as Lambert and Lallana in a different sort of way. Defenders very rarely get any rewards do they?. I would not swap our backline for any other in the championship nor some in the PL to be honest. Take Lambert out of your team and who knows what season you guys would have had. Fair point - but Pardew took a punt on Lambert when he was at Bristol Rovers (for which I will be eternally grateful!) and started the process of which the saints backroom staff turned him from a very good league 1 player into the best player in the Championship. I bet clubs like yours are kicking themselves for not taking a punt on him. Best 1 mill we have ever spent.
Totally agree. I was amazed just how long he stayed @ Bristol Rovers scoring goals before he was sold to you. Saints took a punt and got there rewards. Lambert looks better than Messrs. Morison - Holt and Graham did last season in the championship and they have done ok in the PL this season. Fortune favours the brave as they say.
It should be your normal kit as not to clash with our normal kit. In other words both teams home kits.
How confident are Hull fans that you can make the play off's? If you do make it, how do you fancy your chances against the other championship hopefuls. That could be us, west ham or reading plus a possibly combination of Leeds, Birmingham or Blackpool? Do you think the team us under pressure to make it? or nothing to lose
That's very true.It's ridiculous that attackers always get awarded and defenders get very little credit.
That's maybe a question that will be more easily answered around 10.00pm tonight. Most of us think that we'll fall just short, purely due to our lack of goals, there's half a dozen games already this year that we've dominated and still ended up drawing. If we did scrape in, I'd fancy us to make the final, we seem to get better the bigger the game gets, but we'll need to start scoring more somewhere down the line.
The last time we scored more than 3 we got 5 though. In fact, in normal league games the last time we got more than 3 at home was in March 2008 and we got 5 then as well. I forget who we were playing.
