Just to put our current position in perspective...if we merely take 10 points from our final eight games, which would have seemed a disastrous finish as recently as last week, it would still mean: - Reading needs at least five wins in eight to overtake, plus a draw. - West Ham needs five wins and three draws in nine games, or six wins. And of course, the two teams play each other.
Am truly gutted we didn't get 4 but seriously though was a good game and we were worth the 3 points. Commiserations to Hull from the sounds of it with a decent striker/finisher they would have what it takes to push up the league
Has anyone said yet that they have a bad feeling about the Donny game...because believe me someone will!
Well done last night. You were the best team to play at the KC this season (including us!). The difference was primarily that you can (& did) score, we can't (& didn't). There wasn't too big a gap apart from that -- but its a pretty significant one.
Hull Fan In Peace.!!! To be honest it really annoys me that defenders dont get noticed but it the nature of the beast. Its no good scoring 3 and the defence lets in 4 is it.? But hey ho. As for last nights game,, well CONGRATULATIONS. You have one hand on the title and promotion now IMO. Saints are a better team than both Reading and West Ham and after last nights 3 points and with home games against Doncaster - Portsmouth - Reading - and Cpventry on the last day that should be at least 10 points. With games at Blackpool - Crystal Palace - Peterboro and Middlesboro that should be at least 6 points and Job Done. So thats one down and 2 places left to go. Reading and West Ham are very catchable by any team who can go on a run to the end. Hope its us. Last night football wise very little between the teams except what matters most. Scoring goals which has been our problem all season long. In fact, Hull City should have been 4-0 down within the first 20 mins But for me the turning point was the Robbie Brady miss when the score was only 1-0. Anyway all the best and the fans who came up for the game who i spoke to Even after the game are still nervy about promotion. Dont know why though. Hope that we meet next season in the PL. I know Lambert gets all the praise But IMO its Messrs. Lallana - Hoisveld and Schneiderlin who are key to your success. I thought the Hull defence handled Lambert(again) and Guly Da Praedo very well. Messy goals but they all count. Oh how i wish we could be gifted some messy goals now and again,, Lol. Well played. Result of the night has to be TWS 3 Nottingham Forest 7....but i bet you guys will have been much happier with Posh 3 Reading 1 and West Ham 1 Middlesboro 1.
Lallana, Hooiveld and Schneiderlin really are key to our success, well, all of our players are, but these guys in particular. Lambert is more important than all three of them, but Adam, Jos and Morgan are three amazing players who we're privileged to have! And yes definitely much preferred Posh and Boro giving us a hand!
Hi, had a great time up in Hull and was pleased to see the confidence and togetherness in the side. Hull had some decent opportunities too, plus a good fan base, but lacked the finishing quality. Koren going off was a bit of a miss for the Tigers too!
