It's a ****ing joke how **** we are at 1-on-1s. I spent all last year criticising Fryatt for his pathetic 1-on-1 shots but Koren and Aluko are the same. We never just hit the corner or anything it's always a piss-poor tame shot straight at the keeper. I'd be disappointed if I did that with such a good chance, Koren is a talenmted playmaker why can't he ****ing shoot when he's close? It was ****, exactly the same as Simpson's today. Keeper just happened to dive the wrong way. Apart from the Rotherham shootout I haven't seen a good Hull City penalty since Bullard. Simply placing it in one corner is just a 50-50 chance. Twat it and you can make sure. Our attack are just crap basically. I defend Simpson all the time but he had to score that penalty if he's going to be so confident taking it off Koren. Koren's run and header for the goal was excellent but missing that one-on-one was juct ****ing ****e. Aluko does **** all in every single game and we still go on about him being one of the best attackers in the league. The way we waste chances and positions to create chances is appalling. Koren through 1-on-1, Elmo in the first half when Quinn and Brady were totally open on the far side and he played it to an offside Aluko instead and finally the one where we had Quinn, Aluko and Brady against 2 defenders and managed to lose it in two passes. 3 occasions in the first half where we shoudl have scored, all useless ****ed up and nowhere near scoring. It's nothing new though, we're utter ****e in front of goal and we alway waste these breaks that would lead to chances too. Much ****ter teams than us gobble these chances up week after week while we just **** them up every time. I'd like to see a proper centre forward come in and Aluko to either start having some impact on games or **** off and sit on the bench.

Sorry ellewoods I thought you were talking about Koren at Forest. I agree the Prossy one was very good but every single one in that shootout was really.
I didnt see Koren and Simpson arguing over it on the tv. When I saw that Simpson was going to take it I told the girlfriend that he would miss it, she said why, and I said because he hasnt been on his game lately. I get Simpson taking it as a goal may have gotten him off his slump, sometimes in sports it just takes that one event. At the same time though, you can not manufacture that event so Simpson shouldn't have taken it. Koren has taken them before and he is captain so to me it should either fall to him or he should be the one to decide who takes it. Pro from all his failings seems to do fine when given time to shoot so to me it should have been between the two of them.
