Obviously a point would’ve been nice but we’d realistically be needing a win from a very winnable Preston game either way.
I didn't say we were doomed. I just didn't share the optimistic expectations for today, with a good Hull side hunting the play offs. Let's hope Preston will already be on the beach next week.
And in fairness Smyth has been excellent since he came on, pity he’s been wearing his slippers instead of his shooting boots
How costly Begovic's flap on Wednesday is looking now. Mind you football is mental, results really went for us midweek but really against us today. Who knows what next weekend. The worry is its still in our hands but our hands appear to be made of jelly.
Worries me a bit we’ll know what we need by the time we kick off. Don’t trust this group at all if the 3pm games go against us.
We were the better team for the first 120 seconds of this game. Thereafter, men vs boys. Must step it up or we’re down. Just not good enough.
