Obviously it isn't guaranteed, but selling Jaden and Greaves would give us the money needed (probably around £6m) to sign Liam Delap permanently.

Norwich are not going to win all of the games they have before the end of the season and neither are we. It’s still all to play for and it’s going to be a very entertaining end to the season, that’s for sure.

His words - if you actually listen to them, and actions in buying young players to develop suggest exactly that he isnt.

I do think the PL/EFL funding deal will have a bearing on whether he sees opportunity elsewhere though.

No, I think we offloaded a proven striker at this level and didn't replace his goals when we've had 2 opportunities to do so and I personally think it'll cost us...... LR/Acun/Tan/all of the above need to learn from it.

I know it's all ifs but and maybes, but I'd rather take him on loan again with an option to buy. Let's see how he comes back from a pretty serious injury before we spend big(ISH) on him.

I think one or the other would, and cover operating losses (in addition to Acun covering the rest up to the FFP threshold) for the season.

Basically, I'm pretty sure that's their business plan.

Like I said, he was of use in 8 or 9 games.

    And that's why he's gone.

That and the fact we've got a mil in loan fees this year and a 3 mil sale obligation in summer for a free transfer.

If reports are to be believed.

Meh. As much as I like Delap, I don’t think we can justify spending that when you could probably get someone more prolific for the same price or less. You also have to factor in signing two more strikers on top of that.

If Piroe goes for 14m, then Delap is a steal at 6. And if you could get better than Delap for 6, then Piroe wouldn't be going for 14 plus add-ons.

His goals in 8 or 9 games this season could well have been the difference, whichever way you want to try and dismiss it, his 13 goals haven't been replaced this season and I'd rather have him in the squad then sharp and Ohio

We've got 3 players who've played central striker this season on 9,8 and 7 respectively.

What did we score from that position last season, say between him, Benji and Connolly as a comparison?

Liam doesn't even sneeze in the transfer market without Acun signing it off. If he or Tan thought for a second that we wouldn't be better off cashing in as opposed to developing him as a 10m plus championship striker, then he'd still be here and involved. Whether Liam had to lump it or not.

Delap for £6m would be every bit as good as Jaden for £5m. Can easily see him going for triple in a few years.

    Who's scored 9?

You know exactly what we scored from that position last season hence why you've asked it to try and prove some kind of point. Oscar scored 13 last season which we haven't replaced, we have just (at best) had a more even distribution of goals. But it doesn't change the fact that if we don't reach the play offs it'll be down to lack of goals, just look at the teams around us, their goals scored and overall goal difference. Keeping Oscar in the squad would have been a much better option with the service we can now potentially give him, but LR didn't want him around and it's not paid off ( so far )... As I say we just need to learn from it as individuals and as a club.

The money we have theoretically saved by shipping him out on loan, is it really going to be worth it if we miss out on the play offs?

Isnt Ozan on 9? last season he was deployed deeper as the 10 or out wide. This year he's mainly been false 9 and the more central focal point of the attack most of the time.

He's on 8, which is what he got last season as well if I remember correctly

    Ah, ok. Out by 1.

So he'll likely exceed last season playing essentially as a striker, allowing the likes of Fabio and Jaden to contribute from where he mostly played last year.

But I'm quite sure our 'strikers' between them this season will outscore last season's 'strikers' (sic) tally, if they haven't already.

So it's a bit misrepresentative to say we haven't replaced his goals.

I'm guessing what you want, is those goals in addition to what we've scored.

    Wouldn't we all?
