Deserved win for Hull, 2 great goals on the break and we were too dozy to take advantage of the sending off. Phone a manager - Ranieri/anyone? Deeney must be getting really fed up hardly getting any service. Decoure sub was odd he was running midfield and passing game as was pointed out previously by Chris.
Indeed a deserved win for Hull there. Incredible strike for the second goal. We never tried to push when they were down to ten, that Prödl header tipped over and the near own goal, oh what could have been....
To me that highlights a failing that WM has in common with QSF - doesn't know how to turn a game using subs. First half performance wasn't too bad, but for a lack of oomph - second half we just failed to turn up again. The telling stat is only two shots on goal. Dismal...
Walter will probably say the sending off affected us more as it meant we were the team who should be attacking..
Watford striker Troy Deeney: "Not good enough. We just thought we could play some tiki-taka football against a team fighting for their lives. "I'm not in the business of apologising, but it's a long journey for our fans and that wasn't good enough, which is why I went over to apologise." Why didn't we have that from WM?
Doesn't sound too good up at Hull. Sounds like we've got to show loads more fight against Liverpool next week. So, Forest got 3-0 up, then almost tried to throw it away back to 3-2, but were the better side especially in the first half. Looking forward to getting back to Prem action next week as long as we put a shift in!
Red card you are having a laugh ain't ya? If you had got a red for that you would be really pissed off. Hardly a yellow in fact. Any way it ended OK. Good luck for the rest of the season I just hope we are here with ya.
He was not trying to get the ball only the player plus he moved his foot towards the player .You should look again in slow motion
Well just about the whole football world disagrees with you. You honestly think that was a red card? You would be happy for one of your players to get sent off for that?
I watched the sending off and thought at the time it was harsh. Several slow motion replays and I didn't change my opinion. Jon Marks and Derek Payne also watched it several times and thought that it was a yellow at the worst. Shows how difficult it is to be a Ref.
This shows up the problem where there is no chance of a manager asking for a video replay. In American football a manager could ask for a limited number of replays, that could have an effect on a teams season. It takes too long in the American version, but I believe that one appeal could be acceptable in England. With it being a straight red there is a chance to appeal though.
It was as much a red card as we deserved to win the game, pathetic decision and pathetic performance.
You need to see it from the right angle, it was towards the ball, his foot just went on and grazed him. It ruined the spectacle somewhat in the first half. For Hull City the concern is now another very harsh suspension.
Quite clearly some thought one thing, and others something different. At least it can be appealed, something that I for one would want to do. The worst part is when someone gets two suspect yellows that cannot be appealed.
