Bruce needs a strategy for dealing with known unknowns and unknown unknowns. That's what makes a really good soccer coach, thinking an indeterminate number of steps ahead in order to anticipate any unforseen circumstances that are entirely unpredictable. Come what may, things will be what they will be. Or they will be something else. UTT
One of the reasons for a better squad is to cover some injuries/suspensions. Referees will impact some games but hopefully we can play well enough consistently to make that less relevant, if you're only just scraping survival then you have to go into the dangerous lottery of referees.
I'm afraid I must disagree Ernie. By definition the known unknowns cannot be unknown if you know them. Only the unknown unknowns can be truly called unknown because it's not possible to know them. Hope that clears it up.
It surely does Chilts. Could you possibly put that in an email to Donald Rumsfeld. There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.
Great stuff, the one thing I miss about footy these days is the ability to stand during games instead of being cramped in a little seat especially when you are too big for the seats
Gutten tag on this montag. Best performance of the pre-season so far. And that was with a fresh and hungry new starting 11. Was a joy to watch and worth the trip. So much quality all over the place and 2-1 should have been 5-2. Just so glad that i dont have the problem that SB has now. But with 5 massive games between now and the end of august all of them will get a go. Remember, SAGBO is suspended for the DQPR and STOKE games so he looks likely to start the Lokeren games as an example. It has never looked this good.
