Just seen a picture on Twitter of a really large banner that some of our fans took saying (LOGO) 'Fans want safe standing'. Some people have too much time and money on their hands to get these kinds of things made.
"Although he missed a few chances Tom Ince showed why Bruce isn't too fussed about another CF. Really bright in a central role with Jelavic" I like the look of him. Very pacy and tricky and if he can recapture his scoring form from a couple of seasons ago we'll be onto a winner.
Aye, he looks great, and versatile. I get the feeling he just needs a couple of goals to settle, being at a new club in the Premier League and perhaps under a bit of pressure to show he has what it takes at this level. Already getting himself into good positions for scoring opportunities.
The Robertson goal. Nice shot by Jelly to set it up and a nice pass to set up the Jelly shot.
Safe standing will be good it will give a chance to those who sit down for to long to pull their head out of their arse as they stand up finally.
The Meyler goal, nice pressure from Jelly.
The fact we played an entirely different XI and still looked impressive is incredibly exciting. Very strong team this season. If Europa doesn't pinch too hard, we should finish Top 10.
Woah, small steps. Anything above 16th is an improvement. I think 14th will be a good return and very possible.
The way I see it.. if we don't make the Europa Groups we'll be 9/10th, if we make the groups probably 12/13th.
Safe standing is a good idea, maybe you have too much time on your hands to make these kind of comments?
Crickey! Reality check? Given EL involvement, 17th will be a decent and to my mind acceptable achievement. Survive another season and we will be even stronger next season. SB is building decent strength in the squad, and it's great to now have decent options coming off the bench, but we don't have the quality, not least up front, to get anywhere near finishing top half. There will be at least 3 teams worse than us, and that will do me. We'll be anywhere between 15th and 17th.
The team still needs to gel more. How well things come together up front could well determine whether we do more than simply struggle to survive. Too early to determine positively or negatively.
Whoa, that does seem a little optimistic (while not impossible). To come 9th you're looking at 50pts plus, and I don't see us upgrading enough from the 37pt team we were last season to do that - especially with Europe as an added complication. Outside the top 7 I guess anyone could top the 'other' table, but I imagine Stoke will be up there, perhaps with Newcastle, West Ham and Sunderland.
Sounds like we played well, but from those short clips it looks to me as though Stuttgart were still very much in pre-season mode. I can confirm, that having just come back from the country, that Germany is wunderbar.
Our final league position will be determined by events that are predictable such as injuries, suspensions, refereeing decisions, etc. and also those events which are unforeseeable. I would like to elaborate on the latter but because they are unforeseeable it is impossible.
