My favourite seaside town is skeggy. Just sit in the pub drinking £2 pints and people watch all day.

TBH I've never ever set foot in the place, therefore I can't grasp the significance. But I can imagine it's a bit of a ****hole..I think he had a disagreement over summat, then someone accused him of telling porkies. Not a wise thing to do with an ex Royal Marine who doesn't take any crap from anyone.

I recall Newcastle coming to BP for a preseason game..Guessing 1969 ..The sight of above 5,000 B&W clad Geordies coming through the east stand like a tsunami persuaded many in the South Stand to vacate the terracing ..Yes, the cops were babbing themselves.

I was in Shoreham Street for Sheffield United v Blackburn Rovers. Before ko Blackburn fans came in via the corner. You heard "Ugh. All together!" and all of the United fans rushed them. Blackburn didnt stay for more than a few seconds except the slow ones who had about 20 United fans around each one.

Try getting pissed in Runswick Bay.

The punishment for a solid night in the pub is a drunken walk up the steepest ****ing hill imaginable. Honestly, I felt like Sisyphus the amount of times I had to stop and consider kipping on the beach.

Like that area. Stayed in Warkworth a few times. Could quite happily move to Warkworth.

I live in Scarborough old town and love it. Used to come as a kid all the time. Never seen thought I’d move here, but life takes strange turns. We moved here from Altrincham 4 years ago, which we loved but we were in a 1 bed flat through covid and a 2 up 2 down you were looking at 350k min, now in a lovely 5 bed renovated Victorian townhouse that was 275. We’re equidistant between south bay and north bay. Scarborough has its problems, as do most places. Mainly cycles of poverty leading to substance abuse and not a great jobs market. I’m lucky I’m remote and in a well paid job. I’ve never once felt scared here though. For me the pluses outweigh the negatives. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely market towns close by. As well as exploring the rest of the countryside. There’s actually quite a big creative community here too. It’s a really great place to bring up kids, found a great community of people here through that. We’re getting a brew york bar soon, which I can’t wait for. Good pubs craft bar, Leeds arms, scholars, stumble inn, the frigate. And lots of good food places too. They are doing up the Brunswick centre in town into a cinema and food hall kind of thing.

It wan’t long after Give Peace A Chance was released. The Geordies were quick to adapt it to All We Are Saying Give Us A Goal.
