I’m really looking forward to this game.

    Not sure why

Probably just good to get important football back after an unnecessary break to watch some mixed team friendlies from Catarrh

He had 2 good games over in Turkiye and is looking fitter sharper and deserves a start. We certainly shouldn't be playing Slater/Doch out wide or as a no.10 at home

Booing the players at half time because it's 0-0 will definitely improve their performance <doh>

"I can’t wait (for Saturday's game against Sunderland). I think it’ll be a really good game between two good footballing teams. I watched them on Sky (against West Brom on Monday). They were unfortunate as they played really well against a good team."

"We know they've got some good attacking players. They play a really nice brand of football."

"We have to get our home form right. At this level, you have to bank on your home form. I've only had one home game so far, which I thought we were unfortunate to lose. We have to turn our dominance into results."

"I would ask the supporters to come (to Saturday's game against Sunderland) and see it as a new season. We have to do our bit on the pitch. We're playing in a completely different way to how we played before. Our home form is going to be key."

"It's a real shame (regarding Sunday's injury to Dimitrios Pelkas). He's going to be out for 10 to 12 weeks. It's a huge blow. He's been brilliant as a person and is someone I want to work with long-term. He doesn't need an operation which is brilliant news."

"I've only had him (Óscar Estupiñán) for half an hour so far. I felt the suspension was so harsh. He's still one of the top scorers in the league. He's been brilliant in training. Any player with his quality will come into my thinking."

Has it got that bad? Always used to be a guaranteed 3 points...or cup semi final.

    It’s Tony Mowbray.

    He gets about a bit.

Jeez. I thought you were joking!
I'll admit, I had to look it up.
And he's only 59. From nearby Saltburn.

I honestly thought he'd retired after Blackburn , how can he be only 59 ?

Anyway they've had about 22 managers in 10 years

Cracking write up that, very interesting, the fire exits is obvious when you think, all the shops in the US have doors that open outwards, unlike the UK, same with toilet doors, they fit metal kick plates so people can use their feet to open them, rather than touch them after some dirty bastard like in the UK.

There is no way he’s only 59! I remember thinking how old he is now last time I saw him so just googled him and he looks older than I thought I remembered him <laugh>

    70 minimum.

Also, hasn’t managed as many clubs as I’d thought. It feels like he’s managed most of the championship at one point or another.

How long has he been 59?

Vampire or zombie -probably why he has to 'change' clubs regularly...

Saltburn's over 40 miles away from Sunderland.

Nice place though. Got the only remaining pleasure pier North of the Humber.

And a water powered funicular to get you there if you can't be arsed to walk.

    Highly recommend.

Don't worry the cheers of the massed ranks of Sunderland supporters will drown out the boos.
