Our home results have been so bad for so long I’m just expecting a loss or draw today. Cmon lads - break the Stoke at home hoodoo.
the best two posts... "think we'll start the same 11 as last week" "then we're going to get ****ed" Lets hope so... They're bringing 1800 +
Team selection is a real dilemma. Joseph may have only started last time out to give Pedro a rest. Selles may see Pedro as the natural first choice. If Slater and Coyle start today then that tells you something about Selles attitude to loyalty and hierarchy vs. technical ability. It’s a good position to be in to have a strong bench but if we don’t win today, it will likely be down to not starting the match with the strongest first eleven available.
I don't think you change a winning team that's had 7 days rest outside training unless you are forced.
I’d expect Joseph to start with a view to him stretching their defence for 60-70 minutes and allowing Pedro to come on against tired players and use his guile, as he did last Friday. To be honest, I’d be surprised to see any changes to the starting line up, outside of any injuries that we might not be aware of. The only thing I’m not sure about is if Stoke have a quick, tricky right winger, Ruben might want to make a change at left back, which would probably mean Burns dropping out and Jacob coming in. Looking forward to seeing a potentially very strong bench today.
Wouldn’t necessarily disagree, I just think they’ve decided that they want a player that can press really hard for 60-70 minutes and then bring Pedro on to use his ability and footballing nous to either try and get us a result or see a game out at both or either end of the pitch.
