In his defence, it was in a walters team that heavily exposed the defence.

For what it’s worth, I think McLoughlin will move on in the summer. There was a lot of interest last summer and there will be Championship suitors this summer as well. With only a year left on his contract, we may sell him. He’s been a good servant to the club but at this stage in his career, he probably doesn’t want to play second fiddle. We may wait on signing another centre-half until the summer if Burns sticks around.

Maybe. I'm talking about passing angles really. Jones on the left looks awkward, he gets forced down the left and ends up having to play hopeful long balls with his left foot. Macca often gets tied in knots and I think that's made worse when he's at left back too. It's never going to be perfect but with that many playing in awkward spaces it becomes a problem. Or maybe QPR were just particularly good at sending us in directions that favoured them, and against Stoke it'll be fine. Just my reading of it.

Macca's a really steady defender, his only minus is his pace, he does get caught on occasions, but agree him and Jones look a better balanced pair than Jones/Burns.

Biggest win of the season nailed on. 6-0 to City as we hit them on the break time after time. And before anyone asks if I’m on drugs then the answer is yes, but that’s another story.

I have faith in the ground staff to improve the condition of the pitch before Stoke.
They will have had about ten days to get it upto speed.

Thanks for the update. Might be lost in this thread though. Maybe a new thread would be better

Any rearranged I see I always put them in the next match thread on the basis that every bugger will be reading it.
But if the Mods think it's own thread is needed then please move it Mods.

    Thanks rover.

I have noted that fixture on my RSPB Inspiring Nature 2025 calendar, to ensure I can plan that week and don't inadvertently double book myself.

just wondering if anyone knows when we last won 3 aways in a row without conceding.

we did have a spell of four aways without conceding in 2021-22 but the second game was a 0-0.

    feb 2022
    peterborough 0-3 city
    mar 2022
    birmingham 0-0 city
    coventry 0-2 city
    apr 2022
    middlesbro 0-2 city

    found it...
    2010-11
    feb
    derby 0-1 city
    mar
    nottm f 0-1 city
    coventry 0-1 city

    and

    oct 2000 won away 2-0, 1-0, then a 0-0

    dec 1999-jan 2000 won away 1-0, then two 0-0s.
and jan-feb 2000 0-0, 2-0, 0-0 (so in 7 aways, only lincoln scored against us in the 4th one)
and later still in the 1999-2000 season
    halifax 0-1 city
    carlisle 0-4 city
    mansfield 0-1 city

    1993-4 dec-jan
    0-0, 1-0, 0-0
