I've not seen the TV replays but from where I was stood Ramirez throw a punch. To me that's what he was sent off for.

Just because they're unbiased(I'd dispute that with Carragher) it doesn't mean they're right, they're paid for their opinions on football but their expertise are not in refereeing decisions. All the precedent suggests that violent conduct is given for an aggressive action, that's why you so often see players sent off for "leaning" their head into another player and kicking out is equivalent.

You know full well you'd be pissed off if it was the other way round.

He didn't kick out. Your centre-back is a massive fanny; the biggest fanny in Premier League football. It's embarrassing really considering he's 6 ft 2 in.

Just home, just one question to ask that's bothering me, O.K. we had a man sent off, but that still left 10 PL players on the pitch, not ideal I grant you, but what alarmed me the most was how we crumbled, we just seem to fall apart, thought it was suppose to be harder to play against 10, and after a cracking first half were I thought the game was there for the taking

I'd be pissed off with the player and not the ref. As I said, it's similar to leaning your head in and I remember Kaboul getting sent off for that a few years ago against Newcastle and had no complaints about the decision. Infact Mason did it before Benteke slapped him the other week and I said he should've gone too.

Personally, I like more physical play and don't like that attackers are allowed to throw themselves to ground under little contact and get a freekick. When it comes to acts of aggression like that, however, it has to be treated seriously otherwise players would be doing it all the time.

Two different TV stations (one in the UK and one abroad) both saying it isn't red and that your player has made the most of it.

    It wasn't a red.

Linesman didn't even signal for a foul at the time did he ? Must have waited for spurs to tell him what to do

He doesn't flag until Spurs' left back raises their arms to complain. Then the flag goes up.

Bruce's post match interview is entertaining. He's embarassed a centre half went down like that.

The Spuds mod also believes we should be renamed.

Submarine Hotspur, with Captain Pawsonawash sailing against the wind

Ok ... Latin temperament aside, first half we played with much more freedom first half, second half we were struggling to get going but I have no doubt 11 v 11 we would have not lost the game, possibly gone on to win it. Whether it is a `red` or not you can`t give officials opportunities to get their cards out specially red ones, Beckham did it and got a red all those years ago against the Argies, and ok Ramirez didn`t exactly kick out but from the linesman`s view i can see why he thought he may have. Positives for me where the return of Dawson, Robbie and Robbo down the left, and Jelly back at it where he left off before the injury. I gotta say although Ramirez in my honest opinion didn`t deserve a red, maybe a yellow, Livermore got away with one. I personally saw enough to suggest we`ll be fine come the end of the season, although I am still to be convinced by Ben Arfa.

Up until the sending off we were the better team, with 11 v 11 we certainly wouldn't have lost the game, and would have probably won it.

I noticed that at the time. There was a long delay between him kicking out and the lino waving his flag. But they were allowed to make their case to the officials all game while we were repeatedly booked for dissent.

Agree about the lino, he didn't give it straight away, in fact the play had gone on a fair way up the pitch before he flagged. But given the ref's performance, I knew as soon as he flagged Gaston was gone. It was a red, it happened 10 yards from where I was sat and he did lash out. Even if he didn't make contact, the intent was there. We dominated that first half and I said to my mate that if we were to score again before half time, it would've killed the game off.

The 4-2-3-1 was incredibly effective and it was good to see Brady and A-Bob combining on the left so well, which begs to question, why was all our play in the second half focused down the right hand side? We're going to have to be more conservative against United; I'd like to see us playing out from the back, rather aiming long kicks at Jelavic. Again, once we were down to 10, he was winning the header and nodding it on to nobody. Meanwhile our fullbacks weren't really being hassled and were free to recieve the ball.

I thought Livermore proved a point today, his goal was really well taken and he put himself about. Huddlestone did better, not sure why he's getting so much flak, he picked out Benny a few times from difficult positions. Ben Arfa himself did really well, he tackled back when needed. My man of the match was almost certainly Dawson, he was outstanding and won every header he could. We've really missed him.

EDIT: I should probably add, it was one of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen at the KC. My friend that came with me is a City-disliking Newcastle fan and even he was forced to admit that he was a joke. Pawson is usually alright, but he had a mare today and he might find himself being dropped to the Championship next week.
