Comment from on there: What I hope is that there is one player than can transition play with direct running at the oppo from central areas a la Stuey, we've definitely lacked that recently. Let's ****ing hope not.
I had to get from Barton to East Hull for an appointment yesterday and sensibly set off very early fearing the worst. It took me 20 minutes. As an aside the new road network on Castle Street has really done the job. In fact I am not sure what the underpass will add.
That's pretty nifty. Try it on a Friday.....The roads going over the top of the underpass will ensure that there will be no traffic lights to stop traffic on Castle Street. That's the top and bottom of it. Theory is that traffic coming off the A63 will be able to zoom straight through with no stops...Until there's a prang and it all comes to a grinding shuddering halt. Bound to happen the moment it finally opens.
Zoom straight through until they get to the traffic lights just before the bridge and then the ones after it ...
Not sure which traffic lights you're referring to. Going from east to west after getting through the lights at Victoria Dock junction, there ain't anymore because you're on the A63 all the way to the M62 without any traffic lights....Unless there's some I ain't accounted for. Going from west to east, yes there are lights, but they'll be gone in due course and it will be straight through all the way from the M62 to Paull, but for the lights at the aforementioned Viccy Dock junction and a couple of roundabouts. I think.
Massive **** up by Highways England. Why drop the A63 under a side road to a retail park and a boozer instead of dropping or putting a flyover to that area leaving the A63 to run level straight through.
Afternoon chaps, driving up on Saturday and after a bit of parking advice. Looking potentially at either near Redbourne St or Dairycoates Avenue. Do any of these areas have matchday restrictions? And if so any recommendations that side of the ground towards the A63, ideally want a quick-ish escape and don't mind a bit of a walk. Should be a decent game as both sides will be pretty desperate for the win
Park on Southern end of Boulevard then 5 mins to stadium . ( North end beyond roundabout with a fountain in it has restrictions ) For a quick get away make sure you park your facing South .
Park on Walton Street car park. The car park is the size of a small country, honest. Its only £5 and literally 2 minutes walk to the away end. Only down side is getting out at the end of the game. Can take 30 to 40 mins and even as long as 1 hour.....Alternative is Park and Ride at Priory Park, first turn off the A63 after going under the Humber Bridge. Alternative is to drive across the *Humber Bridge, left turn, around a roundabout then take the Hull slip road, then under the bridge. Enjoy your trip but not too much!!!!!!!!! * £1.50 each way. ps..I wouldn't recommend parking on residential streets, but that's down to you.
It's becoming hard to see how we fit everyone in with all these injured players coming back. Williams is available again but does he takes Drameh's spot on the bench? Presumably it's one or the other of those and whichever misses out it will seem harsh. Sounds like Millar will be available either this week or next, but we already had Ndala and Belloumi on the bench last game; do we put a third winger on there at the expense of say Palmer? That would seem unbalanced. In a way it seems like Akintola and Joseph might be most at risk there even though they actually started last week.
Harsh on Williams? He's hardly played so far and the U21s performance was gash. Millar might get 10 mins from the bench. Belloumi might start on the right for Akintola. It'll be between Joseph and Destan to start on the left.
