Ingram- feel sorry for the lad conceding 3. Brilliant for the penalty. Difficult to choose the other two KLP - because he scored. He took up great positions and made some excellent runs. Particularly first half, but passes were ridiculously over hit. Coyle - I suppose. Matt Smith is struggling and doesn't deserve to start, but his wages are getting paid so Allam will keep him here. Magennis - oh dear. The most stark reminder that we are back in the Championship. Wilks - see Magennis.
Magennis first two attempts to trap a ball took the ball back into their midfield where they picked it up and nearly scored from it I got slated a few weeks ago for saying he’s ****e! Now… they were clearly the better team. But are we getting the best out of our team? No We signed too many midfield players and not a proper centre forward, Smith is a welcome signing and may do ok but we needed another and both eaves and magennis gone. I still say this team can do better with a different formation.
Maybe someone (club /system / manager) can see what they could do with potential like Andy Robertson, or fancied a day out and heard there was a good play about the Spiders from Mars on...
I do too Chazz. Never a motm performance. He might be played out of position but he doesn't look interested half the time.
This sort of thing is a problem for us really often. Often it's when we're in possession building an attack, and someone makes a ****, bobbling pass that makes it hard for the next player to control, and then that guy panics and passes it behind the next teammate and that player is then forced to turn and face his own goal and gets pressed from behind and suddenly we're either forced into passing back to Ingram or we give it away trying to squeeze ourselves out of the mess we've got into. Happened a lot yesterday. We really need Huddlestone fit just so he can calm things down a bit and get the ball on the floor. He made such a difference in that when he came on against Derby. Suddenly Greaves and Jones weren't giving it away constantly.
And why I said moncur looked championship quality as he was the only one able to control a ball and look forward for options yet our front three didn’t move But others thought moncur fannies about with it
Don't disagree but paying supporters would like to see a little effort. I noticed the commentator on one of the highlights stated specifically "Hull City supporters are being very patient with their team, no booing". Can't see that lasting too much longer if things don't change.
One of the better ones so far. Making himself available, looking to make things happen. Presume he got pulled as he was becoming ineffective when tiring?
