What time did you get in ????? they went through the teams around 4ish, firstly City followed by a rendition of eye of the Tiger I think it was at the city end, then had another guy introduce the Wednesday team followed by hi ho Sheffield Wednesday, I`m kinda suspecting you missed our bit but got theirs.
I got off the concourse around the same time as him, it was about 10 minutes before the teams came out I think.
I enjoyed singing along to Caravan of Love at the end. So did others around me. I had a great day, think it was my best trip to Wembley yet. This time we won and completely deserved it. It seems some of you will complain about anything.
I remember them playing the two teams themes, around 4 to twenty past, but to be honest I can`t remember them playing any music after that until the National Anthem, think nerves overtook me at that point..lol
I suggest digging out some Alan Bown Set, Creation, Action for the original nal mod sounds. Plenty of others from elsewhere but I quote them as they were home grown ones which you came across in the clubs. Unfortunately more down South than up here. Though I did see Creation st an end of term do at Scarborough (support group The Mandrakes with Robert (back then Alan) Palmer and later Alan Bown Set who By then had Palmer with them but they had evolved into a different type of band by then.
I recall City having no ceremonial Umbro tracky tops unlike 2008. Then I saw Sheffield in their 'look at me' tinpot Sondico white tracky tops and I knew victory was assured.
If only there was a player out there called Robert McGee and City went for him, Castro would be sorted.
Yeah. Got back in the early hours of this morning. Was surprised at the lack of hangover to be honest, almost disappointed.
Why do we have to have that music at the end. I couldnt here a ****ing thing in fact we could probably sue for ear damage.
As this is, pleasantly, drifting off topic a bit, I'd just like to throw in my fave song of the types being bandied around. I give you a classic: I did partake of the Northern Soul scene for a few years, and love all of these style of music. Along with the trance, indie and Norwegian black metal I enjoy now. Oh and Chazz, you said a nervy 1-0. You were wrong. Nowt nervy about the game at all, it was just a matter of time.
Dont be its a blessing believe me. Glad you had a good weekend must say its one of the best days out ive ever had.
Yeah. Stayed at a hotel in Canary Wharf so wasn't too far away. Spent all of Saturday night and all of Sunday between the Embankment and Covent Garden. Got chatting and drinking with a few Barnsley lads, obviously after their match there was a good few celebrations on the night too.
One of these years, I will make a point of doing Trafalgar Square for the traditional 'hicks from the sticks' football-related photo call. Up to yet, it's always been 'get there- win-get out' and back to Hull ASAP, which has worked really well. Is Camden worth doing or is it just Spiders on tour?
