Frustrating but they're a good side with some quality players so a draw isn't that bad in my opinion. If Dave got a bit more confidence he could be a real force in this league. When he wants to he can ghost past players at will.
Without me scrolling through! As anyone mentioned our none singing section? I sit in the west (my choice) but I thought all those fans who chose to go in the north went there to sing? Bring back the "No to hull tigers" songs if needed? But we've got to do better then last night lads.
Home support always gets out sang. Most stadiums are like that nowadays, especially the fuller ones. That was in my view, our toughest game we had remaining, so yeah, happy with the clean sheet, and no, I don't think anyone else is this division is capable of defending against us as well as that. Despite the 0-0 I genuinely felt positive about our mix of players and feel sure we can get promoted and not make a fist of worselves in the PL next season.
I agree with this. The crowd were awful against Brighton. A little better last night but not much. Nerves? Apathy? **** knows but we rarely even get a Steve Bruce chant going now.
When he came on Rick and others reported Clucas was moving central and he was out left. He was certainly out the left when he got back and covered for Robertson slipping over, and on a number of occasions he brought the ball from the left through the centre. Clucas was also clearly shifted since he became a much more central figure with his runs.
There's obviously a player inside Powell. Whether he's got the discipline to apply himself to a team structure or whether he can get over his need to impress due to his current employment situation is the key issue. It's up to Bruce to get Powell's mentality right. If he does then I can see him being a very important player during our run in.
So despite saying he was nowhere near the left you're now acknowledging you were wrong. Apology accepted.
I think I'm correct in saying that he couldn't have as I'm pretty sure he wasn't included on the bench. Neither was Haydyn… prepared to be corrected of course..
Maybe being in Sydney and being upside down you see things backward way on. Only when he came on and when Clucas was brought inside did we get any hold on the game. IMO he ran the game when he came on, you can see he's not there yet physically , but that to me shows that we might have finally unearthed someone who can do exactly what he did when he is. Livermore cannot do what he showed, he's more an Ashby type player, Meyler definitely can't.
And thats just the thing isn't it. Brighton did their homework, every team either those around the play offs or fighting to stay up will do exactly the same. Its their for all to see. Two banks of 4 or 5 and it stops Hull City. What we need to be doing is our homework which we patently aren't doing. Its like the arrogance of Arsenal without being Arsenal. Its pretty to watch, tap tap tap, but it doesn't always get you results.

Sadly, although many of us love our football, it is not in our natures to sing, chant, dance and jump up and down. This probably applies to a majority of City supporters, who are non the less dedicated as shown by the continued expensive attendance at games.
