Fantastic ! Quite an entertaining game that! That’s all that matters right? Entertainment rather than the win? - job done
Why should a manager abandon his style of play that he’s cultivated for years? The owner has hired him mainly for his style of football so now the owner needs to get him the players he needs to implement it.
Oscar would have immeasurably more impact if we actually passed him the ****ing ball instead of aiming it four inches above his head. I should have added this onto my last post, but we play a system heavily reliant on crossing, with players who don't seem to be able to pick out a lone striker. **** this off until we've got better players.
OK we got better as the game went on, but there is no cutting edge, which is quite alarming to say the least, yes we had one maybe 2 good goals chalked off, but let's not forget this was their b team and we still struggled to trouble them too much, we need offensive arrivals, and when you think of the goals we've lost from our team of last season, I think the commentator mentioned out top 7 scorers from last season are no longer with us. They definitely need replacing.
Nowhere near good enough. Against a weakened Wednesday. We continue to be **** at home and up front. Frustrating. Need these signings in and up to speed asap.
Because we don't have enough technical players to do it correctly and unless Acun is willing to sacrifice half a season like he did with Rosenior to get it right, it's pointless trying to do it because it's just going to cost us.
Yes, we do, if we can do what we're doing now quicker and stop mindlessly pinging crosses into a lone striker. We dominated the second half, we just don't seem to have the confidence to take a shot on. I thought it was an improvement on Saturday's performance. Granted, the ref chalked off a perfectly good goal, but we can't keep relying on penalties and decisions to keep us in games.
I'd say one perfectly good goal. The first was offside but, the keeper definitely spilled it. We seem to be afraid of gambling players in the box though. So many opportunities across the face if goal but, nobody gambling. We'll get it right eventually! But, atm we look off it.
Agreed. But the players should already be here Recruitment has been a ****ing disaster and that’s all on acun Preseason was pointless as we didn’t have a team We now have half a team It’s ****jng ****e preparation
You can see why we went for Moore. Regardless of what Tim has said, Oscar has never been great in the air either.
Its middle of august And weve still only signed 1 out and out ****ing attacking player Its so pisspoor And soon as millar is off We have no threat
He doesn't need to completely abandon it, but maybe replace "constantly cross it" with "try varying the channels of attack every so often." And maybe learn what a 1-2 is so we don't get done by it every single time.
