I think you need some sort of post-grad level understanding of semiotics to comprehend Owls Talk communications, as this 'symbol' seems to mean and represent a number of different things.

It’s quite simple. In Sheffield, being sent a picture of Sid James smoking a pipe is the equivalent to receiving a knighthood.

This result is worth six points to us - Milwall had gone all season without an away win so were bound to break their duck at our place (it's what we do!). Now we can forget about our usual charitable acts and add a further 3 points without feeling guilty.

Whined, it's a response to your whine.

I do get it. You don't get that I get it.

no idea where to stick this. it probably belongs on the brentford v city matchday thread, but there isn't one yet, so it'll have to go here for now. i know starting threads is a capital offence round here,so i shan't risk anyone's wrath by starting a new one.

this hdm report is about saturday's ref and is keenness playing texas don't hold 'em. 7 reds in 17 games this season and 92 yellows in that time. more than 5 yellows a games. we don't average even 1.5 a game. the ref is caled tim robinson and the article says

"In terms of Robinson's appointments, he has already taken charge of 17 games since August, 13 of which have been Brentford games.

In that time, they have won five, drawn five and lost three matches."

i don't know about you, but i would think if a ref has reffed one team 13 times in a 46 game season, there's something seriously wrong, verging on corrupt. so i checked on soccerbase. turns out robinson has refereed brentford twice this season, not 13 times. where the hell the hdm reporter got his fake stats, i do not know.

Yeah but soccer base doesn't include sub appearances and cup games.

    Good call.

We crumbled pathetically last season in a midweek night game against these, who offered just effort and basic 442.

They're still in the cup - hopefully we will man up and they will be distracted and we can get the 3 points.

Are you saying fans supporting it or not supporting it would have made any difference ?

    No, not at all
In the same way that fans supporting or not supporting the removal of concessions made no difference either. I still think it was **** that anyone did support removing concessions though

For those involved, no explanation is necessary, for others, no explanation is possible.

Ben keeps up his position, based on the false premise that it's about the fan group, and also his incorrect belief that it was a single issue group, and seems to ignore the reality of the blog posted.
