Pandur has been the standout player of the season so far, and he’s ours. We’d be rock bottom of the table if he hadn’t performed when we needed him most, and if any player in this current squad has earned their place for the rest of the season it’s him. I want to see him back in for Friday.
The other thing I noticed was, when we have a throw in, we play statues. There’s very little movement
Post-match reaction Hull City boss Ruben Selles told BBC Radio Humberside: "I think the first goal put us on the back foot and the second happened so quickly, we didn't have time to react. "It is important we analyse the situations and see what went wrong. We have to continue with the players we have and introduce the new players, some of whom are coming from not having competitive games for eight to 10 weeks." On QPR's second goal:"It can not happen. Cody [Drameh] can get beat in that situation but we were not ready for that quick throw-in. "I think that it was more about the level of attention for the team - those situations are the kind of situations we are trying to remove from our game." QPR boss Marti Cifuentes told BBC Radio London: "I'm very happy and I think we need to give value to the team because it is a difficult team away [from home] against a team that has changed a lot since when we faced them last time. "Today, the pitch was not at a level that a league like this deserves so it was very difficult to play how we wanted but still we scored two goals." On Koki Saito:"We knew that from his time in the Netherlands, where it's a league with a lot of one-v-ones - that's exactly his specialty. "That's where he makes the x-factor moments. Hopefully, today will be a little bit of a relief to him."
I’ve never really thought we could be relegated as **** as we have been, tonight was first time I’ve really started to wonder . We are just so poor at so many things . Saving grace is if the signings keep coming, the team should look a lot different, but will it be enough to plug the gaps . I’m just fed up of watching us not win home games, 18 ****ing months now . With 3 different managers and no ****er can win at home !
The pitch is an utter disgrace and embarrassment. To have opposition managers calling it out as not fit for the league is a new low
Shocked Pikachu face meme when you sign players who haven’t played since November and they lack match sharpness.
Nah, that’s not it. I was told I was overreacting and throwing a hissy fit for questioning why we signed Crooks and Amrabat.
What I've been saying, this time from Selles himself ......"We have to continue with the players we have and introduce the new players, some of whom are coming from not having competitive games for eight to 10 weeks.". Only our "saving grace" if we can get them up to speed, available, and integrated reasonably quickly ... and then keep key players fit. We are in deep trouble.
I shouldn’t be surprised at the reactions on here as it happens every time we lose. Nobody likes losing but to lambast our players just because we’re cross about the result is crackers. QPR are a decent Championship side on a good run. You can see why, they are well drilled with some skilled players and depth. They shaded a close game. Yes it is frustrating that particularly the first goal should have been cleared. Had Philogene scored a goal last year like Saito did today we would have been creaming ourselves over the skill of it. On another day we get a point out of that game and we will pick up points against bigger teams. My biggest concern is that fans turn on the team when they need us all to get behind the players to continue the obvious progress we have seen under Selles. That was far from the worst game I’ve ever seen City play, let’s stop reacting like it was??
Although I note he also says we're difficult to face away from home (why do they all say that ) so maybe take it with a pinch of salt
Crooks was fine, as he'll be pretty much up to speed by now, it's whether players like Eliot, Henrique and others are ready to go. Joseph should be right to be thrown in.
I don't get how it managed to get worse since the last game, baffling. Do find it very funny that we are sponsored by green thumb lawn care and a lush patch of green grass periodically appears on the score board. Wonder if they can come and sort it as a favour?
Agree completely, as soon as Gelhardt scored the crowd started making noise, but at the same time I can't necessarily blame them when we've been abject at home for so long.
After 28 games last season we went on to get a further 28 points. If we’re going to reach 50 points this season we’ll need 24 points. It really shows the scale of what Sellés and the team need to achieve.
I don’t think we will get anywhere near 50 , just have to hope with so many teams involved the safety number is a lot lower this year
