Eaves scares the **** out of them.

If he doesn't know what he's gonna do until he does it, sure as sh*t the oppositions don't either.

He gets his goals and assists when he plays.

Even having a shocker he's worth a yellow card for one or two of their defenders

Underestimate Eeeeeaaaavvvvess!!!! at your peril.
I’ve certainly done that over the last 3 seasons hopefully he can continue for as long as possible.

Hopefully this competition makes him better this time, the whole time Mag was here no matter how bad he was Eaves never seemed to be able to do better which I now find baffling given his last 3 performances.

Eaves 'didn't fit the philosophy'.

Magennis did and got the best from Wilks in L1. Eaves was the better of the two that first half season before the collapse.

Josh was just more effective at a lower level.

He couldn't carry Wilks in this league.

Disagree on the first half comment. Our best performances that season came with Magennis Bowen and Turbo, 4-0 against Preston springs to mind. Eaves is better as the focal point, Magennis was better when Bowen/Turbo were the focal point. Much like last season in LG1, think Eaves enjoys the pressure of being the man up front.

I think you've got that upside down.

Eaves isn't a pretty player but wants to face goal and is either **** or makes things happen.

Magennis was a workhorse who brought the best from others, and he himself profited by bringing others in with more ability than him, in a promotion side. He was never prolific before.

Theres a time and a place for Eavesie, even in this post transfer window era.

That’s my point. Eaves likes being the one scoring, Magennis gets the best out of others. Hence why I thought he was the better of the 2 before JB and KG left.

Eaves needs to continue it for at least half the remaining games to have a place in this squad. He wouldn’t be hard to replace...

Good point, not sure who’ll they’ll have there then, we never tested Jagielka or Davies in behind in the 1-0 loss this season likewise in the Stoke game. Eaves is bread and butter to centre halves like them, KLP tore Gary Cahill a new one in behind against Bournemouth
Centre backs hate pace… known fact
