If you think our performance yesterday was us totally outplaying someone and controlling then game then fair enough. I have higher standards I guess
I can see both sides to it, yesterday I think he covered a lot of ground and put himself about. For his talent he should really shouldn't be playing for Hull City but that adds credence to your point about application, I want to see more of him give him a place in the 11 centrally and show him he is valued. I think Rosie excels at this and I want to see where he goes with him from now till the end of the season.
I think yesterday was one of Tufan's best games for us which isn't saying a lot considering he was still incredibly inconsistent.
It was actually just a laugh react (on here you can only 'like') and because we were just going around in circles. But you can go for the snide final word if you'd like. Your claim to 'higher standards' is just laughable as if I'm suggesting that was our best performance of the season or anything like that when I was merely saying we outplayed them.
He's definitely a player who needs to feel loved/like he's important ( big fish small pond mentality perhaps ) I think the remaining games this season are important for him and if he's with us next season or not. I suppose another way of looking at it is, if we are serious about promotion, will we achieve that with a player like tufan playing at 60/70% for 60/70% of the time or would we be better off with a slightly less talented player who plays at 90% for 90% of the time
I thought Slater was very good again when he came on. He may only give a 6.5 or 7/10 but you get that consistently from him.
I suspect that the fact that if Darlow had have stayed at Newcastle he'd now be playing a Wembley final next weekend might influence Rosie's decision. Put him in at Bristol to soften the blow, so to speak.
Laughable because I don't see yesterdays performance as outplaying someone?. I want us to push for promotion and aren't satisfied with performances like yesterday as those performances won't get us that. The majority of stats show it was a pretty even game ( bar the patch we had on top and the patch they had on top ). As you say though, let's leave it there as opinions can and in the case obviously do differ
Hmmmm I'd like to think our gaffer was making his decisions on what's best for the team/club as opposed to "softening the blow" because a player isn't at Wembley. But I think we may see him play. Rosie really wasn't happy with Ingram a few times yesterday and if he's not doing what's asked then that's the reason to bring Darlow in.
All entitled to an opinion of course not going to be an arse about it but to me that is a direct contradiction, very good does not = 6.5/7. To me he is distinctly average at the moment and we will always struggle to get promoted with players of his calibre in the side, if Tufan is the answer or not is up for debate and not necessarily important to the point ie Slater.
First half was about as dominant as you get at this level. They had a 15 min spell in the 2nd half but didn't do much apart from that. With a better front 3, yesterday probably would have been an easy win.
I look at our win against QPR where the goals came reasonably against the run of play or out of the blue, but resulted in a 3-0 win, and I look at yesterday's game and wonder if the results were flipped if people would have different perspectives on the performances. Each to their own.
