China are opening power stations, so they can continue to make increasing amounts cheap ****e for countries in the west, who don’t really give a **** about climate change as long as they can buy a shirt for $10. Two websites alone (Temu and Shein) are responsible for eighty eight long haul freight flights per day, delivering tat to the US and Europe, while paying almost no tax. Temu, Shein and AliExpress should be blocked until they start to act responsibly, or at least start to pay their way.
I don't actually think he's under that much pressure although a loss tomorrow might change that I don't think we'll lose though
Not often I turn up to a game expecting a win but this is one of those occasions. Anything less would be bitterly disappointing, but not surprising
Looking back maybe, I was being a bit disingenuous towards the people of Peterlee...Its only about 10 miles from Sunderland so I suppose they were bound to be Sunderland fans. There were a some great people who were trying to help people get back onto their feet. End of.
No worries. Looking back you said they were cardboard rather than plastic anyway, which I must admit is a new one on me. I clearly took it to mean the same either way. Anyway, 12 pages in and we’ve finally reached match day. Fingers crossed for things starting to click a bit more and a convincing win!
I don't mind confidence, but not sure why some people are predicting a big win, but make no mistake I'd welcome it with open arms..
If we’re going to have a positive season we should be beating Portsmouth. We don’t have any right to, and all those clichés, but we’ve spent significantly more money and have bigger aims than them at this moment. I think we’ve looked better lately, but we need more than that now. Last season, we had 36 points at Christmas. I think if we’re going to be in the mix we’re going to need more than the 22 points to match that. It doesn’t seem like anyone is running away with it like last year, so I think the teams around the top half will pick up slightly more points as a result. Unfortunately, we’ve stumbled out of the blocks and we’d need to sprint the whole race if we’re going to keep up. As much as it would be thrilling to see us pick up at least 11 points both this month and next, I can’t see it happening. I’ve said before that I don’t think Walter will go because of the amount of other things Acun is dealing with at the moment, but if we haven’t picked up those points, I can’t see us signing a striker in January. If that happens, it’ll feel like a big, flashing neon sign that it’s probably game over for Walter at the end of the season.
I'm not predicting it, just saying anything else against this opposition would be very very disappointing...
It would They are weaker this season than they were in league one with kamara gone and bishop injured Worst team ive seen at this level The money we spent this summer is like 20x more than the money they spent
We could do with a win, we should win, but we do have form when it comes to games like this. Let's hope all that's behind us now, Tigers 4-0.
To be honest anything but a win today is going to get real toxic. I do wonder how much a solo Acun without Tan is going to get nervous and tetchy if results don’t pick up soon
We've had someone saying 6-0 and another saying 'guaranteed win'. Nothing is guaranteed in sport, or we'd all be down the betting shop, or, more likely, they wouldn't exist if everything was a certainty.
