This season's pass was about 20 pound more expensive than last seasons. Not sure how heavily discounted that makes it. I thought the 10 pound comment was about the membership, not the individually streamed games, fair enough. If people are happy paying that then good on them.

All utterly irrelevant to my original point but all good. You suggested I wouldn't get much sympathy but a couple of other expats have PMed me expressing similar frustration so I'm clearly not alone..

I don't care about the cost (and I know I'm fortunate in that) but it's a little bitter sweet that the better we do the less options I have to watch City.

If we get P.R.O.M.O.T.E.D (don't want to jinx things by saying the word) then I'll be even more ****ed as even with the Premier League package they only showed us about twice last time around.

I'm aware this is VERY much a 1st world problem considering I've watched games on teletext in the past and thought myself lucky to get a 6 line match report in a national news paper or a 4 week old green mail in the post <cheers>

Now I have endless ways to keep up to date with all things City.

Syd if you get yourself a vpn and find a country that does not get the football streams you should then be able to watch it, I think someone has mentioned Liechtenstein and Vietnam hope this helps.

PL though you should be able to get a package that shows every game - as long as you aren't in the UK - for quite a reasonable fee. Here for instance it's about 8 quid a month for every PL game.

Sky have launched a Premier League only package here for £15 a month, Sky Sports is £27 a month.

I assumed he was based outside the UK but maybe not. Of course if he's in the UK he'll only get a handful of games a week which is a bit rubbish. Just highlights though how much more affordable it is to watch every game in the PL here than City..

I live in Sweden. I just checked and there is now a package that shows all PL games. It's 549 SEK per month which is about £41. (So I'll stop worrying about P.R.O.M.O.T.I.O.N.)

Mind you this conversation is straying a bit off topic from the game tomorrow.

I guess that's with Viaplay - who have the same rights deal in Norway.

Not sure if it's a fact, as don't have it myself, bit apparently despite being live, there's a minute delay to the feed.. so be careful if gambling in game, ha ha.

I messaged junior after we scored the second goal against Stoke, but he was watching on Sky Go and we hadn't scored yet on there, I just got the reply 'you ****er'. <laugh>

I had this issue, I was in a pub watching it and my mates were about 20 seconds ahead of me. I cottoned on when the first goal got spoiled, but I was messaging them about the goal and then they started celebrating the second. Was ****ing annoying. <laugh>

I know this is totally stupid, but ever since the lockdown season of watching on heavily delayed iFollow streams and regularly finding out we'd scored from someone else before seeing it on my stream, I have this phenomena where every time I feel my phone vibrate whilst I'm at a game, for a split-second my brain thinks it's probably someone telling me about a goal we're about to score. It's been years now and I still can't fully get used to the fact that it can't be spoiled any more.

I'm the same! I'll be at the footy and hesitate before checking my phone about something, thinking I might ruin the score.. while at the live game. It's bizarre.

Expecting a good performance and a home win tomorrow 2-0 City.

Macca for Greaves the only change to starting line up.

Then probably 2 or 3 changes for Ipswich away and maybe a couple of changes for Millwall. With 3 games in 8 days most of the 1st team squad will be getting minutes.

Even if I don't get to see the game live, you do get the full game available the next day.

Ha, had similar... got a consolation message 5 seconds before I watched Harry Kane miss his penalty last year...
