I'm looking forward to this game. With all due respect to Plymouth, these are the kind of games that a play-off chasing sides needs to be picking up 3 points from, so it'll be interesting to see how we do in that regard. Its a decent test, but not unwinnable.
If Argyle's supporters nickname was "The Plym Souls" it would make a jolly rhyming couplet with 'R souls" ? Let's get to it you budding composers and lyricists ! Get kicking...
He was a record signing and one of a long list of city players signed off the back of a good game against city, who went on to be ****e.
Our home form has needed to be better for a lot longer than 4 games, it's not awful by any stretch, but we don't win enough at home ( so far under Rosie )to be challenging for the top 6..... that's my point. If people are happy with our home forn then that's their choice. But I want more from us at home, Im sure Acun wants more from us at home as well, slow paced, safe football that brings in more draws then wins isn't going to keep the higher attendances coming back to games, especially when the free tickets stop. The club etc are wanting a much better atmosphere at homes games as well, but again unfortunately the current home performances just aren't going to create that atmosphere whether people like to admit it or not
Forgetting Cup Matches and Friendlies... under LR Home Matches 14 Wins 4 Draws 8 Losses 2 For 16 (4 against Massive) Against 12 Facts and FACT!!.. of course the squad is much better now.
Totally agree , but the opposition will often sit deep , makes it hard , the C’ship is a grind so margins are often tight for success and failure. So far it depends who you’ve played - but like watching England if you know the opposition will sit in you need your most tricky talented or fastest players to go for it . It can be a gamble . City counter away from home so will the opposition . Seems like most decent teams have more chance away than at home or need two plans .
Believe Plymouth have gone with 4 due to injuries and have no reverted to 3/5 which won them league 1 last year.
It doesn’t matter HT2, on Saturday we’re going to sort our home form, and thereafter we’re going to continue with our excellent away form, and from there we’re gonna win the league. You heard it here first
I think it must have been a bit dusty in our kitchen when I saw that earlier on. Just lovely isn't it?
I don't disagree at all, but I just hope people know and realise that the tiger trust is and has been an amazing part of the club for years and years right back to the "football in the community" days. Stuff like this has been happening for fantastic people and causes even when we have had very poor owners compared to our current ones. I was fortunate to work for the trust back when it was "Football in the community" after I stopped playing and it was an amazing place back then and keeps going from strength to strength
