A bit of a nothing half, Greaves excellent as has been Allahyar, Slater also very good. Elder not a patch on Fleming, I like to see him change them for the second half, will bring KLP more into the game.
A fair result, it was a bit of a sucker punch getting that penalty, but to immediately to up the other end was justice.
I only managed to catch the last 5 minutes by the time I got the link working, but to see Hudds ball to Eaves & then to KLP moments later was real class, unfortunately it was Eaves & not Al or KLP who would have outrun the defender, but to be fair, he did hold the ball up well. As for KLP, he really should have at least got a save out of the keeper. Then unfortunately Hudds gives away a soft penalty, so I closed FB at that point, only to see the final score! Anyway, good result against one of the top teams, & a huge improvement over last week, I turned that off at 4-0 & missed a goal too!
I was gutted for Hudd when he gave away that penalty. He looked majestic in his cameo and showed exactly what we need in midfield with his passing and vision. It's such a shame his legs have gone but I hope he drops to L1 and has 1 more season
Did KLP actually get a touch on our goal or was it Coyles goal? Looked like it went straight in from Coyle to me, either way deserved result, now let the strengthening begin
I thought that was a pretty good performance - great that they showed much passion and will to compete after last week’s debacle. Sayyadmanesh and Greaves both played brilliantly, except the former seems to be struggling to finish. But all in all a good send-off for the fans.
Allahyar is just very raw right now and he needs to settle down. I'm sure over the next year we can get the rashness out of his game. But I love the impact he always has, its not easy for him as he's isolated up top but he causes so many problems. Hopefully he'll enjoy having a permanent home here
A very enjoyable afternoon and thought we were much the better side second half. Coyle particularly played very well after coming on. A defeat would have been very harsh.
That was a very enjoyable end to the season, bonkers last 5 minutes - never a penalty, should have been a booking for a dive. very nice touch from Shota to give Hudd a cameo for the last 15 minutes so the fans could show their love. If he was being clinical the obvious choice would have been to bring on Doc.
I don’t think Doc’s been the obvious choice for a while now. Hopefully the summer gives him a rest & he comes back the player he was in L1!
Get your point, but if it was a choice between the two, head would probably say Doc. Heart would say Hudd all day long.
Huddlestone came on and pinged some lovely balls but also gave away a silly foul for a penalty. Doc commits silly fouls and doesn’t have the ability to make passes half as good as Huddlestone’s.
